Impressive Features at This Price Point!
The Radioddity GM-30 Plus really packs a lot of value at a reasonable price point! For my daughter & son-in-law being new to GMRS (and radio in general) I felt the GM-30 Plus looked like a solid choice and found this to be very true.Pros: Easy to use/navigate functions, good RX/TX audio, sensitive RX across multiple bands including ham, public safety (analog only), weather, etc., GPS location sharing with other GM-30 Plus radios, USB-C charging, easy to read display, 10 zones for memory management, solid 'real' radio feel in the hand...it's just a really good radio!Cons: Only a few little niggles about this radio in my eyes: battery life seems to be a little shorter than I would expect even with settings tweaked to maximize battery life and the fact that when selecting a zone it is tied to BOTH A&B sides of the radio so you are restricted to only listening to different memory channels within the same zone on each side of the radio. Neither of these are deal-killers, but be aware.Overall the Radioddity GM-30 Plus is a very solid & very capable radio that I would recommend to any GMRS user, new or experienced.

Reliable, clear, and great range — perfect GMRS handheld radios!
The Radioddity GM-30 Plus GMRS Handheld Radios have been fantastic for our outdoor adventures. The sound quality is crisp and clear, and the range is impressive — we stayed connected even when miles apart on the trails. The radios feel solid and well-built, with intuitive controls that are easy to figure out right away. Battery life is solid too, lasting through long days without needing a recharge. If you want dependable communication without breaking the bank, these GMRS radios are an awesome choice. Highly recommend for off-roading, camping, or just staying in touch!

I would recommend this radio for a heavy GMRS use.
This is a great radio but with limitations. It’s not Chirp compatible and the program it has is extremely limited. The radio’s programming allows for several bands outside of GMRS to be keyed in manually but the computer program will not accept frequencies outside of a limited range. If your intention is just pure GMRS with not too many changes or programming, this is a good choice. Seems sturdy and durable.I have raised the rating from 1 to 3 stars for 2 reasons. The first being that it is a radio with a lot of potential. The second is that the vendor has approached me to address my concerns in a friendly and sincere manner. I personally consider that important since I am also in retail business.I can’t rate it 5 because manual programming is a long process and other radios with about the same range can be easily adjusted with the software. I am looking forward to any upgrades to its software since it is a good radio. So the radio rates a 4 in my book. The included software needs some love to bring this rating to 5. Which I will raise again as I work more with this radio.Update: I have increased this rating to 4 due to customer service. These guys are just awesome and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again.

Get Started in GMRS with a quality reliable radio.
Honestly I can't think of a reason not to buy these radios. My spouse and I regularly talk with each other on the way to work and back home again (we leave at different times). We have not had much trouble maintaining contact up to 10 miles away (from house to vehicle) Sound quality is wonderful. Battery life is pretty good even after sitting in a hot car all day. Quality has gone into the build of this radio and it has a good ruggedness to it. GPS is a plus for when I am out and about.

Well made product that does the job well for cheap. But is not cheaply made.
Well made product that feels well made. Battery life is really no more than one day so carry a spare or get a powerpack on hikes or plug in in the car. Not water proof which made us leave in the car on a wet day hike. The brightness is impossible to see the screen in the sun. Easy to get started and yse right away. Can not wait to try other products from Radioddity.Worked well between cars on a road trip from San Francisco to Phoenix with stops at major national parks. When an issue arose with a blown out tire in Death Valley, down a gravel road where the second car was several miles away we were able to communicate and lend assistance in the 112 degree heat. Also worked well during long travel times in the mountains where there was no cell service. Has limitations but more to do with area of use not the equipment. As a first time CDMA radio use I have lots to learn after getting my license but it saved us on several occasions on this trip.

Pretty impressive
For 30 bucks each, these are well worth it.Radio. Quality voice, as expected. I have the GM30 that I love and these GM30 plus are quite a big larger. They feel solid.GPS. It is a basic GPS feature that must be programmed via their software. It wasn't hard. You can send your location to up to 20 preprogrammed contacts, and request their location as well. It gives a basic compass rose, direction, and distance in meters to the radio location. There is a bug I found in which if you request a location, the radio you are requesting it from needs to be in GPS mode or it will hang up and keep trying to key.User interface. Significantly different from the GM30 and a Baofeng. Not bad, just different. Still pretty intuitive. The radio does 10 different "zones" which could be helpful for repeater use while traveling. Each zone has 100 user programmable channels, again, via their software.Remember, these are GMRS radios and cannot be jail broken. You can listen to vhf, uhf, air band etc but can still only transmit GMRS.Do these have a place in kit? I think so. For 30 bucks there are enough features to warrant it, at least for me.

Todd value radio
I’m giving this a five star review based on the cost to quality value. It works that’s all you really wanted to do, is work. I do not know how long it will work, but I will say this much for no more than I spent, it’s a really decent quality radio. I would watch the YouTube videos on how to get it to work.

Works well right out of the box
Took on a recent 4x4 trip and it worked well. While the menus look like a Baofeng, the GMRS frequencies are all pre programed and easy to use. USB-C charging is a big plus.
