Pilot holes in the plastic work surrounding the letterbox... Then get some suckers to attach to the bottom screw points! Note - there WILL be a gap at the bottom where the cage stands clear of the glass because of the additional thickness of the plastic bar with the letterbox in it - a piece of card cut to size laid across the bottom of the basket fixes that.

I forgot to measure my letterbox but luckily it fitted sideways on so the door now opens to the right rather than the top.Still it stops the dog from grabbing the post out of the posties hand.Husband had to supply the right screws & plugs as the ones supplied where not right for our front door, probably fine for a solid wood door.

It receives standard post well enough, but it won't take thick envelopes or magazines, as it is not deep enough to receive them . These usually end up sticking out of the mail slot for all to see. Not very secure when that occurs.

Does not fit over my lettee box up and down the way so had to be fitted sideways. Did not come with screws or a catch for the opening. Works for its intended use.

Not for for purpose. The cage is too narrow to fit ‘portrait’ so it has to be sideways on our standard size letterbox. There is no fastening on the door/lid of the box so my dog can open the door at the side of the cage and continue her hobby of savaging the letters.

Product does exactly what you expect and at a very good price. Doesn't need instructions as it is extremely easy to install and despite being against the wall, allows adequate room for opening the door.
