Works better than expected.
I ordered 2 of these to lift heavy item. In the past it would take 4 people to lift. Now we can do with 2 of these and 2 people. Works great.

Pretty good so far…
I bought this to aid myself when trying to remove or replace my jeep roof, if you’re familiar with jeep roofs you know they are heavy and awkward often requiring two people to remove it. So I installed this hoist in my garage directly to a stud with an eye hook. And used a series of straps to attach my roof to the other end of the hoist. —- game changer. Makes it so much easier to lift. And it packs down pretty small for ease of storing when not in use

It works.
It did a good job

The Power of a Good Pulley System
It is light enough to hold my arm straight out with this pulley system in hand. I like it.

For Light Duty Work At Best.
Not what I expected and not what I would stand underneath something I had hoisted up above my head. First, the ad copy explicitly states metal wheels (called sheaves) and metal ball bearings. It does not have that. The wheels are plastic on metal sleeves. So there goes the strength and long term durability of the pulley system. The product states it uses ¼” woven polypropylene rope. The breaking strength is 1200 lbs. but the recommended working load for that rope is about 120 lbs. new. I won’t even get into the shear strength of the machine screws holding the pulley blocks together. Suffice to say the entire design is certainly pushing strength limits and not to industrial standards. Also, in this and some of the other on line pulleys, the illustrations have been altered to show a 1:6 mechanical advantage. In reality, the system as receive is a 1:5 ratio. That short tail end shown in the illustration…. with the knot… not the pulling rope end…must be tied off on the bottom of the upper block’s lower bolt.So if you are looking to lift something valuable or to lift above your head, I recommend you spend the money and get something much more robust. You get what you pay for.

Fit it needs well
Worked really well. Rope has a lot of elasticity so there is quite a bit of work just stretching it out, but runs smooth, easy to grip. Was only loaded with 1400 pounds but had no issues.

Just ok
Seems a little cheap but does the job.
