Product is everything I had hoped it to be and even better!!
Great product! Easy to install (with two people). Does what the company claims and is super easy to open and close.

Works as advertised, unsure about value
The media could not be loaded. I really want to like this and for the most part, I do, but there are two issues that make me give this 3 stars instead of 5.First the good stuff. Yes, this can be setup in 3 seconds, well more like 15 seconds start to finish. It is just a matter of unlocking the ratchet lever, unclipping the loops, pull it out to the desired position (the pulling it out takes about 3 seconds). And then more time to tighten the tension which is usually always needed. If not, it will rattle in the slightest breeze.Everything feels super durable and well made. The latching mechanism is simple and straightforward.Closing it however is one of the problems. It needs to be perfectly square when retracting it, otherwise it will roll in unevenly and cause parts of the fabric to be thicker and prevent it from fully retracting. It has taken me several tries to get it to retract squarely. The issue is each side is independent so it's up to the user to keep it perfectly square which can be really hard, especially if you're on uneven ground (which is common) and especially difficult if the awning height is barely in reach, which is the case for me too. Also making it a little harder to retract for me is I have the 7ft version, I suspect the 5ft version is easier to keep square. The other issue I have is this clanks a lot under a heavy breeze when fully extended. The clanking comes from the intersection of the support bars where they form an X and cross over each other. The breeze causes them to separate and the clank when they come back together. I think a piece of foam or something secured in between them will solve the problem, but that will add time to setup and since it wouldn't be able to be rolled into the carrier when collapsed so it also turns into another piece to store and not lose. Also adding more tension to the awning helps reduce this clanking, but it's unclear how much tension is ok with causing damage. And adding tension causes the awning to angle up more as more tension is added, which is an unfortunate side-affect.Installation is straight forward on an existing rack with crossbars. It comes with everything needed for that install. For me however, it was a much more complicated install on my van, but the mount points on the awning are versatile and the complications I ran into have nothing to do with the awning itself. So maybe some of my complaints are petty, but given the cost of this thing, it should be perfect.

Kammok 7' Crosswing Awning Beige
Like the product a lot. 4 stars bc of delivery missing hardware issue that went unresolved. I was salty over having to drop more money on missing hardware after paying over a grand for the awning. Requirements were no down poles, easy and quick to deploy, UV resistant. It mounts into my Yakima bars. Easy T-slot hardware. Can only mount upright meaning on top of bars, not below, or directly from back as in on the side of an RTT w T-slot rails. I had to mount mine further in towards the cab than I wanted in order for the shade to cover my topper windoors when open as rain would come in without the cover. This solution gives shade and keeps the rain out which is key as I work from the bed of my truck. The 7 foot model is heavy and while is possible to mount yourself, I am 6'3" and work construction, some may require two people to mount it. Instructions are thorough and comes with other mounting hardware to sandwich your bars if you don't have T-slots. It does bounce in the wind and makes noise as the cantilevered cross bars clank into one another. To dampen this action, a Velcro strip with a rubber strip inside like bicycle tire section or something similar could be wrapped tight around one support and moved depending on the open position of the shade (opens to something like 2', 3', and 5'). I recently took a camp trip to San Quintin in Baja CA and the Kammok took the off road conditions like a champ. The weight along with my Yakima Road shower 7 gal is within the dynamic range for my topper's specs. I still have weight capacity for an RTT which I plan on adding in the future. Hope this helps. The beige went well with my trusty dusty Tundra.
