Robust Folding Window Restrictor - White

So I have been really stressed about thieves in my area. I am a female disabled in a ground floor flat. The safety this has brought me is priceless. No more shut the lounge window whilst i go in the kitchen.These are great, solid, sturdy locks.Not going to lie found this tricky to install 1st one, there is a YouTube video on how to fit which helped me alot, by the 3rd one the installation was much easier. They fit my windows perfectly. The only drawback is my cat can get out, so I'll just have to feed her up more ha ha.

These are absolutely worth the money, especially when compared to many cheaper, poorly made alternatives. They were easy to install, but you have to measure up properly and really take your time. Cause once the screws go in, they can’t come out!On the downside, they are a tiny bit clunky looking, but if you’ve got blinds you wouldn’t even notice them on a white UPVC frame. To be fair, the security and peace of mind these give me are worth it anyway. They are also slightly wobbly when closed, but there’s nothing wrong structurally. So again, not a big deal. When the window is open they are solid as can be, that’s the main thing.I’ve done a lot of research on window locks. For the money these are the best thing on the market. Yes there better looking products, but I don’t think that they’re as robust.

The lock is very study compared to the alternatives. the installation is a bit of a pain, for lacking some easily included items. when you are marking the holes for the screws to insert , a card template could have been included, even paper would have done. Also i'm not convinced by the security screws that require a flat blade screwdriver. These take an age to do up due to the screwdriver constantly falling off. A better alternative would have been some sort of torx head screw with associated bit included. Would i buy another yes, do i hope the manufacturer sorts the install out , yes.
