Watch Winder Smith Bamboo 2/4 Watch Winder for Automatic Watches

I just received this order and am very pleased. The quality is more than I expected. It looks great and is very easy to operate. I thought it might make some noise but you can't hear a thing.

I was looking at watch winders and originally purchased two Wolf Cubs (1 watch and 3 watch), they both stopped working after a month. The manufacturer took care right away and refunded me. I didn't particularly like the style of the other brands, I find some of the wooden one very tacky (you need to get into the $1,000 range to find classy ones) and some others like the Versa don't have a glass/plexiglass cover so the watches get dusty. I decided to give this one a try because I like the 45 degrees angle and the fact that it's the same size as a single watch Wolf Cub but fits 2 watches. (BTW the listing shows the two slots being different sizes but they're actually the same size, you can use a smaller pillow). But the main reason why I didn't like the other brands is because of their pillows. Wolf uses pillows that are so strong people actually think there is a spring inside, I opened them and it's just mattress style foam. It's way too strong so it's ok on steel bracelets but it was stretching my leather strap. The issue is that the pillow doesn't have the shape of a wrist so the stretching was giving a rectangular shape. I just don't understand how a dedicated watch accessory manufacturer would engineer something like that. Watch Winder Smith's pillows are shaped like a wrist and they're made of a different type of foam. So at 7" all around it fits 2 watches rather than only 1, the pillow fits the watch correctly, it's battery operated so you can put it anywhere and take it with you and because it's slanted at 45 degrees is more pleasant to look at (other brands have the top and sides way too thick so you don't really enjoy the watch) Overall unless you're willing to spend $1,000 on top winders this is the best on the market. One thing though, I emailed the manufacturer because I was wondering if they carried or had plans to make a smaller unit for just 1 watch, so it fits smaller spaces and can be carried in the suitcase more easily so hopefully we can get a smaller version. This version is nice on countertops etc but it would be nice for when traveling. (I used both batteries and power adapter)

09.09.21 Update! Shortly after posting the review below, I received an email from the seller (Watch Winder Smith) suggesting the motors would be replaced. All I had to do was confirm the winder model, and describe the issues I experienced. Within a couple weeks, the new motors arrived from China. These motors are much more substantial, and quiet than the originals. Thanks to a couple helpful videos, I was able to install the motors in 15-20 minutes! This seller obviously cares about service, and I'd have no hesitation doing business with them again! Thank you WWS! Original Review After reading a few favorable reviews, I ordered this 4 watch winder, paying about twice the cost of the last winder I'd purchased. The unit is beautiful, and has a "high quality" feel. Unfortunately, within a couple month both motors ceased functioning, and the seller was no longer on Amazon. The result - I'm stuck with an expensive, and attractive watch winder that doesn't wind!

This watch winder was great for two years, stylish, quiet, and doing its job at about the 2.5-year mark, both sides had stopped working. I read reviews of people who had experienced great customer service, so I decided to contact the company. They replied immediately and told me how to open and repair the watch winder with the spare parts included. After I located the tools in the garage, the entire job took me 10 minutes, and the watchwinder is working great again. My warranty had expired when I contacted them, so they could have told me to go pound sand, but instead, they were very responsive and helpful, and my watchwinder is working like new. Just for the customer service, I would say go ahead and make this purchase. I only gave it four stars due to it breaking in the first place. I have a smaller watch winder that has been running great for 7 years, so that's a hard standard to live up to, but the customer service was absolutely 5-star.

This watch winder is absolutely ideal. I had researched watch winders online and looked at various options — I am SO happy that I found this specific model because not only is it sleek and stylish, it is QUIET and has done a great job with maintaining my four watches so that I can easily alternate wearing them without having to deal with basically resetting the “dead” winder each time. Be sure to read the included instruction manual to know which numbered setting to use for your watches.

September 1, 2020, I bought the 2 Large watch winder. It was quiet and worked well, but within less than 2 years one of the motors broke. As I needed to replace it, and I had gotten another watch by then, I figured that I will buy the 4 watch winder as probably it was a fluke that a motor burned out in what I felt was too quickly. On July 1, 2023, I bought the 4 watch winder and it also worked quietly and well, but again as of about 6 months ago one of the dual watch motors burned out. I feel that these motors should last longer than 2-3 years and as I need to replace it, I will look at other companies.

So first things first, this arrived very quickly, and in impressive form. The box was armored with plastic on the corners, and inside the box the item itself was very securely padded by foam. As you might expect after all of that, the thing was in pristine shape when I took it out of the box. As for performance, it seems to be just what I needed. I fit two dive watches on one side, and two dress watches on the other. I don't have huge watches like some people do, but the dive watches are both 41mm and there's a bit of room to spare. It's very, very quiet, but not silent. That said, I think most people's heating & air makes more noise than this. I'm not sure I'll be able to hear it from my bed. Overall, it's a really nice looking case; looks great on my dresser. It's solidly built and has a nice heft to it. The bottom has feet so it won't scuff surfaces and won't slide around. I'm very happy with it. EDIT: I forgot to mention that it comes with extra pillows (foam pieces) for your watches, as well as a couple of cleaning cloths. It's small stuff, I know, but it was a nice touch.

I bought this in late 2019. It was very well designed, engineered, and manufactured. By late 2021, however, one of the winding mechanisms was very noisy and not working properly. The warranty had been registered when purchased, and the unit was just inside the two-year warranty period. I contacted the manufacturer, who offered to send replacement motors for both winding mechanisms. These arrived from China, beautifully packaged for shipping, in less than two weeks. They even included the two special allen wrenches required for the replacement process, as well as providing links to videos showing how to do the job. In less than an hour, I had working properly again--quiet as new, but with more powerful and longer-lasting motors. The company could not have been more responsive and helpful. I have used several other watch winder brands over the years, and they rarely make it past two years before breaking down. This company, however, seems dedicated to product improvement and follow-up service. You can't ask for more. Highly recommended. (Don't forget to register your warranty when you get the unit.)
