My pup loves this! 1 year old lab. Value for money 💰 lasted him a long time. Great size, he thoroughly enjoys chewing this, haven't found any issues with splintering or safety etc. Great app round

My dog can destroy anything by chewing it, and this stick isn't going to last forever, but it is certainly slowing him down! The wood is really dense and doesn't break into long slivers, but rather little, tiny chips of wood. It still makes a mess, but not too bad.I think we can claim a small, temporary, victory for the stick of wood as it has not been totally destroyed yet - in fact I think it will last for several weeks or even months.

This item is cut in half .So it’s not round like the other products.It’s cut down the centre . This means it shatters up dangerously when the dog chews it . Very disappointed as it’s not as described

Out terriers absolutely love these sticks. As advertised they don't splinter and are great for dogs to clean their teeth with, and keep jaws and teeth strong.I've just ordered replacements.

His favourite would eb the Yak/Yakker type, but he also enjoys antlers (last for ages) and Nylabone-type chews. I expected him to therefore enjoy this one but - so far at least - he really isn't fussed. he is happy to chase it - like any other stick - and he has had a few half-hearted gnaws of it, but has been less than enthused.I suspect it might be a lack of distinctive meaty smell/flavour, rather than the actual hardness that is putting him off.Perhaps he will get properly stuck in at some point.At the moment I can only give it a three-star rating.- - - - - - - - - -Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. PACKAGING: Marketing tape adhered around the chew.PRODUCT: Natural olive wood dog chew stick, infused with olive oil - size medium.FUNCTION: I have never heard of 'olive wood' dog chews before, but online research shows this type of wood is very durable, safe to digest, will not splinter or shard. The wood is supposed to come away in safe pieces that are perfectly safe to gnaw and digest. Good to know.This is smooth in texture with no sharp, jagged edges. It is quite light in weight and the medium size is 22cm in length. It has no smell that I can detect, however, my dog took it from me while I was still unwrapping it, so something about it was attractive to him.Now normally my dog just barks at new chews that I offer him. He then proceeds to throw them about, tries to hide them before discarding them for good. He is only a small dog, but an aggressive chewer. He loves to de-squeak toys and to rip the stuffing out. Chews and toys never last very long with him. As soon as he took the chew, he sat happily for a while gnawing on it. Then he got bored and discarded it. There were fragments on the carpet that I had to scoop up. Small pieces and some quite sharp, which is obviously a worry. I am having trouble accepting that these small, hard, sharp pieces of wood would not pose a choking hazard, particularly if they got stuck in their throat. There are chew marks on either end of the stick, but it remains relatively unaffected.At the time of this review the medium size wood dog chew was £6.95. I think this is reasonable for a chew, but I feel uneasy with its suitability, so I am fortunate that my dog is not interested.
