Love this product!! As a foster guinea Pig home, I have tried many items over the years and this is a keeper! These mats are high quality oxbow Timothy hay and they're much larger than any similar product you can find in pet stores, for a much lower price point. They're soft and smooth but durable unlike other mats that are dry and brittle with splintering potential. My piggies love to lay on these, they also come in handy when strageicly placed to keep them from tunneling under fleece and padding, and make clean up and maintenance a breeze in high traffic areas, as well as by hay troughs and kibble bowls. These mats have literally cut my daily cage cleaning time from an hour+, to 15 minutes!! I will definatly be buying more.

Wow! My rabbits immediately went to this mat and began chewing at it.I was skeptical at first not really knowing the size but this is a great size nice and large. I feel confident and giving the Oxbow mat to our rabbits because of the high quality that Oxbow is known for. When I open the package it was extremely fresh and smelt really good. I will update this review to let you know how long this will actually last for.I've included three pictures to show you our rabbits and then my hand is on one of the rabbits to show you the size. So happy to come across these again - they were hard to find for awhile! My bunnies love sitting on these and also tearing them up! Gives them a little something else to do and destroy.

There is nothing to dislike. This is the best hay mat I have found yet. The thickness provides comfort for my little bunny while at rest or at play. It holds up well as the bunny chews on the mat. Less mess than others I have found. Other mats are destroyed in less than two hours. This mat has been in my rabbits cage for about 12 hours. I am so satisfied that this will be the only mat I buy for my fur baby.

Be aware that your critter may choose to poop and pee on it, which means they'll pee through it!My rabbit companion has no interest in tearing this up or in eating it as others do. For context to compare with yours, Pip has access to my 1000sqft home as well as an 800sqft outside enclosure at all times, and he doesn't chew/destroy much up unless it's either delicious or in his way. He also has zero interest in toys. His big hurdles have been inappropriate urination (partly my fault due to bad choices I made while hand feeding - he lost his mom too young) and urine marking. For us, this mat was a helpful tool for training. Now it is outside next to his loose dirt for rolling in, so he doesn't pee in that.Free tip: an X-pen is super helpful for buns that try to mark specific things, like the couch, as their domain! Mine would still mark my couch - just that - if I didn't block it off when he is unsupervised.

I've bought several other mats- this one is by far the best quality. The hay is fresh & flexible. It's woven very thickly & tightly. It's a great size too. Much larger than others.I've had a rabbit who chewed a mat in a couple hours & rabbits that just use the mat as another litterbox.👎🏼 These 2 bunnies have been laying on it, chewing it, & scooting it around for 3 days now.I can't say how a bunny will like a hay mat, but as far as hay mats go this one is a winner.

I buy these large size Timothy hay mats regularly as a chew & digging toy for my 9 lb senior bunny to work on when he goes into Destructo Bun Mode. There's a corner of his bedroom that he likes to dig and chew whatever is there, so I moved the mat there. Success! If I move it elsewhere, it gets ignored. He's a bunny with particular tastes, he likes to dig and chew whatever is in that one corner, so I'm happy he can get it out of his system on this easily replaceable hay mat.He doesn't actually eat the entire thing - he basically just tears and pulls it apart so I have to sweep and pick up the pieces, but I'm cool with that. Sometimes a mat will last 2-3 days when he really gets fixated on it, but sometimes it'll last a month when another of his chew toys has captured his attention.He doesn't lay down to relax on these mats ever, it's not his thing. He prefers to relax on the granite tiles I got at the home improvement store - they're nice and cool for him to stretch out on to cool his belly after playing. Your rabbit might like laying on these mats though - bunny personalities are so varied. If your bun ignores this mat, try moving it to another area, sometimes that's all it takes.

Just received my order. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item. It's really thick and looks to be woven pretty tightly. Its difficult to buy nice things for my sons rabbit Bugsy since hes quite the avid chewer...the rabbit,not my son ;) Cheaply made loose mats dont usually survive the day, so hopefully this'll keep his little bunny butt busy for a bit Delivery was fast and the price was well worth it for a quality product.

Girlfriends rabbit loves this, but for a large mat it seems quite small, will probably be devoured fairly quickly. Maisy tends to settle on it and gradually chew it down. Still it's exactly what was wanted and it was delivered a fair bit earlier than was suggested as the delivery date.

It is a good quality mat made with quality hay. Well woven. Good size. The bunnies love it. They sit on it, sleep on it and chew it. I’m glad I bought it. The pictures were taken after they chewed some of it.

Oxbow products I would throw my weight behind. Due to its 100% natural. Nothing but Timothy Hay. As far as their claims that they are hand woven…. Umm ya ok. Problem with them is some small animals may like it while others may not. So if it is a new purchase for you I would advise to buy one and test it out. And let your small pets decide if you should by more. Nice large size.bigger than a standard place mat. What I end up doing is just cutting pieces off and giving it to my small animals rather than placing the whole thing in their homes. That way there is less waste.
