Decent upgrade from 5700G
I had been running a Ryzen 7 5700G in my daily driver since I built the PC a couple years ago and had accumulated enough spare parts to build a PC for my kiddo and the 5700G is a decent APU/CPU but i saw this on sale for a good price and went for it not expecting much of a difference, but wow, gaming at 1400p (RTX 3080) is so much is so much smoother than the 5700g and much quicker starting and running programs the it previously was so i was pleasantly surprised. Only thing is make sure you've got a pretty decent cooling solution because she runs hot. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. Should buy me a couple more years before I have to update my computer again, unless Vram gets me.... thanks Nvidia.

absolutely worth it!
Got it fast, with easy installation. It came clocked at 4.5GHz and runs at 75 degrees Celsius under load. With a dual-fan AIO, it's worth the investment. I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1600, and it pairs well with my GTX 1080 at 1080p, which I use for editing and gaming, absolutely worth it for 140 USD!

Perfect upgrade to my 2700X AM4 system
I built a system using an MSI AM4 motherboard a few years ago. I was not wanting to entirely replace the system but wanted to give it more life. After researching possible CPUs I decided on this one as an economical upgrade with a good bump in performance. It was literally a plug and play upgrade. I did take the time to perform a deep clean and apply new thermal compound. I've been monitoring the thermal temps and all is well. Can I say the upgrade is like night and day? We'll no, but the benchmarks do indicate a nice boost in performance especially gaming, video editing/rendering and the like.

Ryzen at its best
I've owned and built a few AM4 systems for friends and family always had great feedback using Ryzen cpus in their builds. This 5800xt is perfectly suited for general compute and gaming. Figured it would make a great system for my nephew. Sadly I haven't set up the operating system yet but the system is posting so I can write this review with a verified working part. The prism cooler is nice looking and more than adequate to keep the cpu functional as I used one to cool a 12 core Ryzen 9 3900x.

Good CPU for gaming
Good power consumption, very reliable, improve my FPS since i got a Ryzen 3 3200g with an RX 6600xt now i game much better than before, texture loading is faster since i no longer have bottle neck, i still need to buy a better CPU air cooling & other thermal paste since temperatures aren't that great idle, heat is 90C while gaming

Good AM4 upgrade. Pain to install the cooler. RGB on by default.
The price was right, so I upgraded from a ryzen 2600 for roughly 50-80% more CPU power in CPU limited loads. It won't help if you are limited by your GPU in a game, but there are plenty of times when a faster processor will help, particularly for video production, multitasking, etc.Note that if you are upgrading, you will probably need to flash your bios with a USB drive. This was very easy to do on my computer, but you do need to flash it *before* you install the new processor.Because the included cooler attaches to the clip-style brackets on an AM4 motherboard, I had to dig out my old brackets and reattach them to the motherboard. Thankfully I still had them in the closet. These brackets specifically had to be removed for the previous cooler that came with the Ryzen 2600. Even after I got the brackets reattached, the hooks are quite hard to attach, especially if you haven't removed your motherboard from the case to do the processor swap. I found it was easier to start with the hook with the latch, then make sure to center up the cooler on the top of the processor. You have to get it squared up just right so that the opposite side hook has enough room to clip on. Then just turn the latch and plug it into the motherboard. Also the cooler comes with RGB activated by default, which is silly. There are additional cords you can run to your motherboard, and then you have to download software to control the RGB. You can't turn off the RGB without the software because it is on by default. Please AMD, just make the RGB off by default and let us turn it on with the software.

Balanced and great value
Upgrade from 5700G, the average performance has slightly improved over all. Especially noticeably reduced small lags during gaming. My cooler is Assassins Spirit 120 plus and seems enough to control the temperature.

Great upgrade no problems fast shipping
It came in the factory box, no pins were bent, it used up more power but works well with a 650 watt psu and rx 6600 gpu, putting the cpu in was easy but the cooler can be a little tricky, double check that the wire reaches the proper connection and you want to put the solid clamp on first then push down the side that had a level to tighten down the cooler, great upgrade if you are stuck with a crappy 4th gen ryzen 3, before i was playing on a max of 80 fps on the lowest settings for seige X and now i get 250-300 fps
