Entertaining
I purchased the book based on all the recommendations on social media, the book is so funny and relatable. My only critique is I wish it had a disclaimer about the amount of adult content in the book, there were some pretty vivid sexual scenes that I was not entirely to comfortable with, if you are prude this might not be the one for you.

Funny
The first story reels you in. I’m Nigerian but I haven’t been there as an adult so it’s nice to read all the cultural lingo and feel connected.

Will suck you in!
First of all, that this is Kuku’s first book is absolutely remarkable. My tip is this, don’t try to read this book inbetween tasks. You will not get anything done because once you start, you won’t be able to put this book down.I quickly bought her newest book after putting this one down. No time to waste time

Every story is amazing
I love this book so much that in spite of my schedule, I’d stay up each night to read it for 45 minutes. This book woke my imagination up and I found myself continuing some of the stories in my head.I do agree with the author, Lagos men are ment.Thank you Damilare Kuku for this.I hope to read more of your works. Your mind is excellent.

Some stories I loved, some not so much
I was drawn to this book by the title and the description of dating disasters! Like many short story collections, this one had its ups and downs. Some stories I loved, some not so much. Some made me laugh and many others left me feeling quite sad and hollow. I think I went in with expectations of these being kind of Sex and the City dating stories, but because the author does such a great job giving the characters real emotions and inner lives, it made it hard for me to see the humor and I instead got caught up in the other emotions. As a full collection, it didn't quite strike the right balance for me, but I enjoyed seeing these different slices of life in Lagos and I would recommend reading as standalone stories with breaks in between.

Very interesting
It is very interesting. I absolutely loved it. The stories were mind blowing. I couldn’t stop reading. The change of narration style with each chapter was very captivating. The beauty of the writing deserves several awards. I absolutely recommend this.

Hits home
A beautiful, touching and heartbreaking collection short stories, that might ring true for many men in Lagos but are almost all relateable to me as an Indian woman too. Well written, definitely recommend.
