Alex Orthopedic Inc Horseshoe Coccyx Cushion

I have two of these, one for my wife and one for myself. Well made product.

Easy to Clean. comfortable for my husband.

This pad has only been used a few times in the car and the person using it isn’t a huge person foam in this cushion has already compressed flat. I have worked in the PT areas and have some knowledge of cushions this is just poor quality.

Unlike another back cushion I have, this pillow flattens to barely a hair above the seat when I sit on it. I wanted the open horseshoe shape as opposed to the hole in the center and read dent of my regular cushion, which is great quality. I’m not pleased with the quality of this cushion, though. It made me wonder if the manufacturers realized that the point was to keep pressure off of painful areas in a seat, not press you down almost onto them. I’m average weight but think perhaps it would take a child’s weight to not flatten it. Very disappointed.

First, I searched high and low for this exact shaped pillow. With my physical problem, it hurts to sit, and I have to sit for most of the day with my job, constantly adjusting my position in the chair. With this pillow, I don’t have to adjust quite as much, still a fair amount of adjusting, but less, I would say. My only complaints are that 1) I will have to agree with previous reviews, that this pillow flattens way too quickly after purchase date, and 2) it needs to be quite a bit thicker from the get-go so that this won’t be a problem, or just use a better quality foam insert. I do, however, like that the cover is removable so that the cover can be washed.

I purchased this to help my husband who has been confined to his recliner the last few months of his life. I was hoping it would help prevent bedsores. It did lift him up And did not flatten out as much as other cushions had. However it isn’t overly comfortable

I'm heavy. Get something with gel or memory foam in it. But if you're not so big this might do fine.

Dislike how quick it has failed and is not useful to keep.my wife comfortable while sitting in her wheelchair
