This is a great book with some real great colours and has fantastic glossy pages.Iam a huge fan of the old books with the not so glossy pages.Maybe I grew up at a time when a book was just a book and nothing fancy about its print or the paper.I am a huge fan of Tintin and was naturally thrilled receiving these books.I had ordered initially for 2 volumes on Flipkart and after receiving the same I decided to order for the balance 6 Volumes on amazon owing to a better price on amazon.Its a bit expensive but Iam rebuilding my old collection.A word of caution this book is really meant for those fans who love Tintin.If you really are somebody reading this book for the first time and especially small children I would say buy the single ones.Of course the lettering is not the original hyslop's lettering which is actually a shame.Any old Tintin fan who has read the old editions would simply feel something is instantly amiss. Egmont is a real letdown due to that aspect.I have been trying to get the original hyslop's lettering books but seems it is out of print.And I think even if it is available it is really really expensive and could be a used one. Anyways this book is a great addition to your library and you never know 20 years down the line Tintin prints might become a rarity.So buy it when you can and never lend it to anybody because people rarely return it,especially Tintin and Asterix..And Amazon thanks for the 1 day delivery.Great service.

This is my second last in collection and excited to read it just to take some edge off my mind. Poor packing and damaged edges as usual.

reading tintin adventure at anytime is always enjoyable. I hv read it first in the eighties and still enjoy reading again

livre anglophone relié rigide moyen format récent (2012) 7ème tome d'une collection reprenant trois des célèbres aventures de Tintin, dans ce cas l'affaire Tournesol (n°18), coke en stock (n°19) et Tintin au Tibet (n°20); attention une édition plus ancienne au format, couleur et contenu identiques mais dans une numérotation décalée correspond au tome 6; la langue anglaise est facilement accessible et même les anglophobes les plus réticents seront aidés grandement par l'image; il faut juste s'accoutumer aux traductions des jurons du capitaine Haddock!; les images sont plus petites que dans les versions originales, c'est un peu gênant au début puis on finit par s'y habituer au fur et à mesure qu'on se laisse porter par ces histoire si bien ficelées par Hergé; un bon moyen d'accéder à Tintin à un prix plus mesuré que les grands albums reliés classiques prisés par les collectionneurs de BD mais hors de prix même en seconde main; à acheter plutôt neuf car vous serez livrés par amazon plus vite, d'autant que les prix en occasion ne sont pas vraiment intéressants, sauf pour cette fois-ci chez la librairie chapitre

Perfect size to read and great addition to my Tintin library

It is a full set of Tintin. As a Tintin fan, I do enjoy it. Tintin, a hero of the past centary. Tintin, friend of China! However, there are some other sellers with lower price and shipping fees.

I thought that the quality would be taken away with the small size of these books but I was blown away by the detail that they kept. Absolutely nothing lost in the size reduction, nothing in the way of appreciating the incredible, vibrant, action packed detail that Herge put into every drawing in every brilliant square. This volume contains some of his best ones, namely the Calculus Affair and the Red Sea Sharks my all-time favourite Tintin book. Tintin in Tibet is not what i would call a favourite, but still the same wonderful action and great stories that is in every single Tintin book. The hardcover means that they never become dog eared, and i love the cover designs in the whole of this A5 series, absolutely brilliant, highly recomend to any Tintin fan or just someone looking for some excellent reading. Brilliant book, buy it.

Tintin is a great comic, for different ages and genders. Here you can read three of the stories for a very good price (cheaper than bought in individual books), although the print is quite small (perfect for children, not so good for me any more, I need my glasses). Great book to read at night (smallish size, ideal for children). The Red Sea Sharks and Tintin in Tibet are two of the best stories for me (I read all of them before). "Tintin in Tibet" is a fantastic story, which will interest any child. Enjoy it
