Review update after 1 year of use - I have used this product while sleeping everynight for 1 year because I live in a noisy neighbourhood. This product works wonder for noise cancellation but now the buds have started giving me ear pain. My doc has advised me not to use these buds everyday for long term use. For short term use, these are ok. I am now looking for other noise cancellation options fr sleeping or maybe I will use the same 3M buds but will not insert them deeper in my ear canal. My doc has advised me to use cotton balls instead but cotton balls also should not be inserted in the canal. 20 DECEMBER, 2021 Review - It is a good product for sleep if you roll it down inside your ear as instructed. It cancels good amount of sound and I found them very comfortable. One pair can last for many days; only condition that the buds are dry and cold before you use them. If the buds are wet or warm(because of body heat) then they will quickly go back to the original shape but if the buds are completely dry and cold then they will allow you some time to fit the buds inside your ear. You can even put the buds in freezer for less than a minute before use in order to harden them. I have been using these buds for 2 weeks now. No complaints so far and my ears are perfectly fine.

A must have for noisy roommates. I turn on all my fans which blockout the sounds of my roommates then i put these in which blocks out the sound of the fans. Perfect.

Total waste of money, makes no difference they know it so they force you to buy in package because once u buy this and realise that its a waste you will not buy again

Review After 3+ Years of Consistent Use: 1. Noise Reduction (3 Stars): I've been using this for last many 3+ yrs, it worked like a charm. Way long back I bought 20 pcs [pairs] from amazon Cloudtail [then again I bought it from other good seller] and its strength to block noise was very good, I guess it had 29 dB noise reduction. I don't say it was great but good enough to stop regular noise but not extreme loud noises. [UPDATE Apr, '24 - Noise Reduction (1 Star) But now Recently I bought again 20 pairs from Appario Retail but trust me its not working as it should, even a small noise enters in my ears and disturbs. I'm not raising finger on seller as I've no idea why its not effective like earlier. Either the stock is old or may be 3M reduced the quality, I've no idea. All I can say is don't buy in bulk, just a 2 pairs and use it for a few days if it works for you then buy more. 2. Softness: Its good I give it 3 stars. Its not super soft as many people expect but I live with it as its a must have for me. 3. Comfort 3 Stars: Itchiness: Yes sometimes its very irritating and it pains in my ears so I taken it out and soften it by pressing it and then insert it again. For some people it could be a big issue so is for me but I gotta live with it. I prefer peace while sleeping. * Cost - 5 Stars: Its very economical and budget friendly. Yes 3+ yrs ago it was way much cheaper but now its little pricier but still pocket friendly. Anyone can use it. For me now it seems a time to try another good brand.

product is good but i ordered 2 pack of 10 and u fortunatly one was missing from a sealed package. its not exactly amazons fault here but 3M and amazons quality control, please fix this

Edit: Using this almost every night for 6+ years. Review: With a mosque and main road nearby, I rarely get good sleep. I tried various techniques like having chamomile tea before going to bed, using soothing essential oils, listening to nature sounds and so on. But none worked beyond a certain level. A loud horn from main road or morning prayer from masjid, jolts me up. I had initially tried these earplugs long back but I did not continue due to the irritation these caused. After all these failed attempts, I wanted to give earplugs another try. This time, it worked!!! I slept very peacefully and undisturbed. I was concerned about earwax buildup and approached our trusted ENT doctor. He assured me that these are completely safe to use for sleeping. He also mentioned that earwax does not buildup as body has self-cleaning mechanism. He however, advised against using cotton q-tips. With this assurance, I bought another packet of these earplugs. Noise cancellation is good. I do not hear the morning prayer and ganesh visarjan procession sounds. Unless the sound is very loud, I do not hear anything. Comfort is good though it can feel too tight or can dry skin in the ear canal. Our doctor asked me to approach him in case the skin feels dry and itchy. So far, discomfort is only temporary and it ceases within minutes of removing the earplugs. I ensure that I wash hands with soap and dry them before inserting the earplugs. I do not use each pair more than 5 times. While removing, I remove earplugs very gently, put them back in the same cover and ensure that they do not gather any dust. For information regarding how to use these earplugs, youtube got some good videos. I highly recommend seeing those videos. A little effort and a small price for my beauty sleep!!
