A: no indicator, you have to pour water as your assumption. start to pour with a half cup of water :) for the whistle.

Good product 1.5 ltr milk boiler buying Rs - 760 /-

Ideal for boiling 1.0 ltr at a time. Have not tried 1.5 ltrs as it feels almost full at 1.0. The product works well. It does have a design flaw though the handles, get really hot even when milk is bioled in low flame. Should ideally have a long handle.
