Bought this Carbon Monoxide detector after hearing on the news about people passing away in Mexico while on vacation due to Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Then hearing experts recommend to always travel with one because it's a silent Killer, you cannot see, taste or smell it.Things I like about this device:1. It "solely" operates on batteries (Only have to worry about having working batteries and don't have to worry about a power outage)2. The display shows the battery power level ( So I'll never have to wonder if I have enough battery power).3. The screen displays the carbon monoxide level.4. The display light doesn't stay on. A button is on the top that you can press to read the screen when you're in low light.5. The front of the detector indicates what the different color lights mean, so anyone can easily know what's going on. (Green-power) (Red-Alarm) (Yellow- Fault).6. It is LOUD. Ear piercing loud. Cannot imagine a heavy sleeper sleeping through the noise it made when I ran the test.7. Compact, flat on both sides. (It was heavier than I expected it to be when I first held it, since it says perfect for travel (weight is probably because of the batteries). Either way, I've never held one before so I have no source of reference to compare it to, but I'm glad I have this to travel with now. No longer have to worry If the place I will be staying when I travel has one).WHAT I'VE LEARNED:Instructions were informative and helpful. Gave tips on the best places to install it. It also reiterate that this device needs to be replaced in 10 years. The device will tell you.While reading the manual, it gave time frames of when an alarm would sound. After doing a google search, I discovered that Carbon monoxide detectors do not sound immediately after detecting the gas. Rather, it sounds within a given time frame based on the level detected. Further reading on Carbon monoxide shows that the time frames listed in the manual of this device is in line with what's expected from a Carbon Monoxide detector.These are the levels posted in the manual (I also posted a screenshot of the manual)70 ppm for 60-240 minutes,150 ppm for 10-50 minutes,and 400 ppm for 4-15 minutes.I have no dislikes yet. My hope is that it works when it's supposed to.I currently have it mounted with double sided tape by the door in my bedroom, so I can pop it off when I'm taking my next trip.Hope this was helpful to someone.

Excellent value, looks good, easy to install, bought for my mother’s home to ease her mind. She worried about c02 because of all the news about people who were unaware of a leak in their homes, she feels safer and can sleep better. It has a light that flashes periodically to insure that it is functioning properly and it will signal when the battery is low.

This CO alarm is super easy to use and mount—just follow the simple instructions, and you're good to go. It feels well-made, and so far, it’s doing its job without any issues. I like that it's an indicator, rather than just an alarm...this allows me to see if the level of CO is rising, whereas others just give you an alarm if it gets too high.I bought this because I have a propane heater in my garage and one super important thing to note: CO (carbon monoxide) is only slightly lighter than air, so it does not rise like smoke. That means you shouldn’t mount this on the ceiling like a smoke detector. Instead, place it at head level in the area where people breathe to get the most accurate readings.

Reliable protection that travels easily. I use it at home, too. It works really well going on trips with rented rooms. It provides the extra safety when you are in new places with unknown potential risks.

We purchased this item for our trip to Mexico. It was easy to set up, and it set our mind at ease during our stay in the rental house.

Unlike most that have a separate mounting plate, this requires that you get two screws in your wall at the EXACT distance apart. There is no tolerance at all. The included template should help, but it's still a pain to get them exactly right. Should have gone with double sided tape.
