Worth the expense for a great pack
Figure I'll leave a brief review now that I've put about 100 hard miles on this pack. After trying some lower end packs that always left me sore and uncomfortable I decided to try the gregory. It was worth every penny in my opinion. I regularly do 15-20 mile hikes with up to 6,000+ feet of elevation gain and not once have I been burdened or left sore from this pack. Where others lack support and comfort, the zulu has never left me sore or fatigued. My only two slight issues with it would be that for a leaner build, the hip belt barely has enough adjustment. I have it tightened as far as I can, and it works, but just. Plenty of adjustment for bigger builds. The other being the frame can sometimes be a little cumbersome for climbing ledges where you need to move your whole body In weird ways. (Though I probably shouldn't be rock climbing with a pack this big anyways) I love everything else about it. The storage, the zippers, the padding. Everything has held up great and I'm not easy on things. Great pack, worth the extra $

Great bag. Doesn’t include rain cover !!!
Great bag. Seems really durable with great materials. Spacious and many pockets. Didn’t give 5 starts because lacks big feature -> rain cover. DOESN’T include the rain cover as previous Zulu bag.

Great pack. One huge flaw
Gregory makes outstanding packs. If you are a slender to normal sized person. Everything will be 5 stars. However, if you are even slightly bigger than normal. This is where Gregory fails. They only offer s/m and m/l sizes. If they are unwilling to offer 3 belt sizes. They should redo them to s/m and l/x. It's a flaw of several brand packs. However, as one of the better brand packs. I would expect more. When the belt pockets are basically behind you. That's not a proper fitting pack!

Chest strap broke just test fiting at home.
As stated in other reviews the chest strap on the water clip side snapped just while test fitting at home. I only had about 10lb in the pack and some pillows. This is the most expensive pack I've ever bought, my primary day pack is about 12 years old and has been on countless adventures with me, nothings broke on it yet. Makes me sad.

Gregory knocks it out of the park!
The 55L Zulu is loaded with features, and checked all the boxes I was looking for: suspended mesh back, zippered sleeping bag compartment, center u-zip access, tool loops w.shock locks, pockets galore. The fully adjustable torso and shoulder straps, Free Float / 3D Dynamic Hip Belt, and load adjustment straps work together to dial in a fit where you really don't feel the weight, even when fully loaded!
