I was wholly and completely unprepared for this book and how amazing it was going to be.This is my first S. Massery book and by the 30% mark I had already ordered two others of hers!I was genuinely so sucked into this book that I couldn’t put it down. I finished it less than 24 hours after starting it! The plot was amazing, moved so quickly and kept me interested at every single turn. The story was perfection!I really enjoyed several of the characters (given it’s a bully romance, multiple of them took me awhile to come around to) from the beginning and I really like Syd! I enjoyed how realistic she felt as a character!It is definitely a dark romance and some of these scenes are insanely intense. My hard was pounding multiple times and my emotions were running crazy high! Having such a huge reaction to the story is a testament to how well written it was!The spice was insane, dark and so good! I loved all the spice each MMC brought to the table, it allowed for some super unique scenes that worked well with the plot.Overall, I LOVED this book and I can’t wait to read another from S. Massery. I have a feeling she’s going to be a new favorite if mine!

So this goes along with the regular hockey theme- men are super hot, intense and oh they have some kinks…… oh yes and the drama! So the story does street off interesting with the FMC breaking into rival hockey coach’s home which he thinks is a prank because was dating a rival hockey player. She doesn’t find what looking for but comes across playbook and takes pics…… everything unravels from there!Check your triggers because there is betrayal- more than the stealing, mean girl behavior, and from the boys dubcon, SA, somnophelia (yes my spelling off, either way h00000t) knife/blood play, just wowsers but never a dull moment that just wanted to breeze through. The tie ups were something else, there is stalking that Sydney gets hit from from both lovers as well as enemies, and one twist where a mystery stalker that I totally would’ve put money on someone else! The ending to another story line was rough, and I gave 4 instead of 5 as it did give some flashback of SA so more on my feelings than writing style, nailed it. A very emotional and spicy read.

The random guy who listens to her problems via text, and seems to give some decent advice to her when she needs it most.🔪 And then there’s the ex from her old school: Carter. He can’t seem to let her go.🖤 On top of that, Sydney’s mom is missing and there’s not a trace of her to be found. Even worse? She’s trying to rekindle her relationship with her father. Spice 🌶️ 5/5Dark Romance factor 💀 5/5Plot 4/5Attention to detail 2/5All of that to say, I enjoy the darker shades from the MMCs most if the time, there were scenes where it was a lot to take in but I really don’t understand how the FMC just overlooked the red flags (or black in some stances). It’s one thing to like and be attracted to pain but it’s a completely different to stick around, and continue to fall deeper in love with the ones that torture you.There was bullying, non consent consent, flat out rape, somnophilia, attempted rape, stalking, breaking and entering, kidnappings, torture, killing, blood play… and so much more. Some of which I ok with, some of which are understandable to forgive but not others when they happen more than once and she’s clearly upset and affected.My issue with the plot itself was the lack of attention to detail, there were part were things were never truly explained clearly, there were sentences that didn’t make any sense and the way the men go from these dark demons to golden retrievers is just something that I’m just not ok with. Angry to puppy is more for an enemies to lovers sweet and tender not for so much darkness in the book, it just clashes with their initial personality.There were also other characters that were brought in that just made no sense in the end as to why they were introduced and were given so much attention to end up being nothing in the end.If you focus exclusively on the spice and lightly on the dark romance aspect of the story it’s very much enjoyable but if you’re a book lover looking for the entire package, then this is not it.

I am so upset that I finished this book! I want to read it again.... and again... and again! This is top 3 of my favorite books I've read. I don't really rate books much, but this one definitely gets 5 stars. The characters are perfect! I loved them all. But from the start, Penn was my favorite. I couldn't get enough of him! I had an old Playlist on in the car today, and the song "Coming undone" by my darkest days started playing, and to me, it was like this books theme song. So every time I hear that song I'll definitely think of this book. I don't know what to read next after this. Because I need this same energy and excitement and SPICE for the next one, or it'll just be a letdown. When my jaw is literally wide open multiple times, and I read almost the entire book in one night... that's what I need every time.

Before you grab this story, be certain to read the TW list as this book does talk about very dark subjects. Also, if you are familiar with the author’s writing, you will not be deceived.This is an amazing RH like you have never seen before! Omg, this book grabbed me and made me feel all the emotions possible. I have ugly cried, laughed out loud, and yelled at those characters, but in the end, just like Sydney, I fell in love hard with the boys.Trust no one.I learned that the hard way after hockey star Carter Masters stabbed me in the back and turned our rival school against me. Suddenly, I’m Public Enemy Number One at Framingham State. Just a year later, that’s exactly where I’m forced to enroll. No one has forgotten what I did.The anti-Sydney campaign is led by two gorgeous, psycho hockey players. Oliver Ruiz, captain. And Penn Walker, the devastating goalie. They have me in their sights the moment I step foot on their campus. Where they lead, the rest of the students follow. They won’t stop until I’m gone and Carter’s team faces payback.My only solace from the constant bullying comes from a blocked number that keeps texting me. I don't know why, when I started this book, I imagined a heroine whose father dot on, a hockey princess....In my defense, I hadn't read the blurb.Let's just say I had the surprise to discover that Sidney is nothing like a hockey princess, she is much more interesting the way she is and I loved reading her journey through bullies, an absentee mother, and some very hot hockey players.The author succeeded to write a very good story with endearing (and flawed) characters.I really recommend that book

I just loved this "Why Choose" love between Three Hockey Gods and their Dream Girl/Princess/Mi Nena. Their story is Quite Hot, Thrilling, Passionate, Dark with Sizzling-Chemistry. I loved this Dark Twisted Romance between Carter, Penn, Oliver, L & Sydney. Must Read...!!!

Well, the queen of Dark hockey romance strikes again. This was so good. I loved Sydney and her men, especially as each of them are just a little dark and depraved in their own special way.I love how Sara can have all of the dark elements and the spiciest of spice but still bring the plot that keeps me interested to the very end.Sydney is an absolute queen, and how she is portrayed, especially after she suffers an unthinkable trauma, makes her character so much more real and likeable.Penn, Oliver, and Carter are all so different, but oh, so yummy, and I'm definitely glad Sydney didn't have to choose.I loved every second of this dark but oh so delicious book and can't wait for everyone to read it.

This book had all the feels. Such a great story to read. The author did an amazing job. This book will live rent free in my head for a while.
