Stanley The Quadvac NeverLeak Mug

This might be kind of a wierd review for a lot of y'all, but I cannot get myself to drink out of this thermos. It's not because something is wrong with it, or appalling in some way. Instead I find this thermos to be a magnificent beautiful work of art that I want to put on my wall as decoration. You can tell, without using this product that it is well made. It's slender in comparison to today's average 16oz bulky thermos. It's metal is a thicker grade, and you can feel it in your hands that it was constructed under a lot of pressure. When you squeeze the bottle you don't feel it wanting to cave in like the others. This particular thermos gives you a feel of a time when products were built better, like a sort of WW2 era thermos. It feels like if you were to drop it nothing is going to happen to it other than a scuff on the paint job. I'm going to buy another to be the one I actually use, and I plan to buy both types of lids to it. Stanley does offer both the rim style lid, and the trigger action sip lid. I have an older Stanley coffee mug thermos that only came with the trigger action sip lid, and it's important to use that lid for when you drink coffee while driving. When someone cuts you off and you drop your coffee mug in your car the trigger action lid locks the coffee in so it won't spill. When this happened to me, and my car was clean I had formed much respect and appreciation for Stanley's trigger action lid, however....in my opinion I find the rim style lids to be more enjoyable for drinking coffee. The down side is the rim style is not trigger action and requires you to manually lock the lid. So I will be buying a second thermos, and with an additional lid to have both styles.Now as far as it's performance goes. I haven't yet used this thermos, but I've got like at least 30 different thermoses, and most are Stanley. They all worked great, and I'm certain this one will too. You can tell just by holding it. I plan to buy one for my dad with both lids.Update... It's been a few months of using this thermos, and so far it has done very well. I see a lot of 1 star reviews for this thermos and I don't understand why. After using this better quality steel thermos I have made up my mind to stop purchasing the thinner metal thermoses. The quadvac technology is very noticeable. When I finish drinking my coffee I always remove the lid to drink the last sip of coffee that remains, and you feel a lot of heat trapped in the thermos. The retention of temperature is a lot better than the classic series or other thin metal thermos.In regards to the lid.... This is also a big improvement from the model they had in 2015 - 2019. The design does not allow a malfunction to occur, and the parts are not flimsy either. If you have a difficult time putting it back together it should only be for the first time. I'll admit that at first it seemed slightly like a puzzle, which I think is fun, but it's just three pieces to put together, and its functionality is reliable. I also bought a trigger action lid direct from Stanley for when I drive, but mainly I use the rim lid as a preference.In regards to the size.... It is a lot smaller when compared to other 16oz thermos, but it is still 16oz. There is also a 20oz available.Now I have not dropped mine yet, and I hope I don't. I like this coffee thermos too much to be dropping it. Also... It's nice to drink from this without a lid on it. Instead of a almost sharp edge like the previous model in Stanley classic. This thermos has a smoother more rounded edge to the rim.I recommend this coffee mug.

I read the reviews and wanted to love this product. It was leaking, confusing to disassemble, and not attractive. Stick with it! Once you get the hang of it, it's the best thermal mug ever! Keeps coffee and tea warm for longer than I thought possible. Super easy to disassemble and clean once you figure it out. And that fixed the leaking issue. The o-ring wasn't seated properly. Once I reseated it no leaking. It works flawlessly. We purchased two different models and use them daily!

Great for keeping coffee hot. It's perfect size for fitting in cup holders. The strap deal is kinda neat.But that damn twisty lid thing is quite annoying. The flow is restricted. There's always a few drops sitting on the lid after it's closed that end up spilling somewhere.This mug with the trigger action lid would be fantastic.

I saw a lot of reviewers have trouble with this lid. its a breeze once you get used to it. I think i saw a video on the Stanley website. i repurchased this particular bottle because of the carrying strap. I am notorious for leaving my coffee mugs/water bottles behind as a working flight attendant. I found that if I has a way to attach them to my luggage I have a better shot. This will be my 4th thermos in a year and I repurchased this one because of the ability to keep my coffee hot for a solid 4hrs. The one con I have w this thermos is remembering to close the lid after I am done drinking. Its a very sleek design and easy to overlook. I hand wash mine to preserve the paint. also I read one user comment on the seal coming off over time (I didnt have my last one long enough to find out).Anywho, I purchased a second time so that should tell u something

Looks good. I like the leather strap handle.But this thing is horrible. I knew it was meant for “slow pour” but the reservoir inside keeps getting stuck. And I would try to take a sip and nothing comes out no matter what position the lid is in. And then suddenly you get a rush of water and it goes spilling everywhere. They made the mechanism too complex for no reason. I tried to look for a different lid but they’re out of stock.Also, it doesn’t keep cold drinks cold or hot things hot for very long. Maybe an hour at most.And even if the leather strap looks nice, good luck trying to put it back on if you take it off because it fits so tightly that it’s hard to engage the clasps.I ended up just getting a hydro flask. Simple. Take off lid and you drink. You would think I wouldn’t get so riled up over a water bottle but here we are.

This is a great cup. It keeps my drinks hot for at least eight hours. I can get home in the evening and my drink will still be hot enough to drink if it's still full. My only complaint would be that the twist to open lid is impossible to use with one hand, so if you run equipment like me, it will be hard to use. Perfect if you are sitting at home or are a passenger but not if you are the driver.

Great mug!! holds heat, no spill and I love the handle that be removed. However the plug or seals on the inside lid suck you can’t wash your lid very well they fall out and disappear down the drain. Now it’s spills and doesn’t hold heat so disappointed

I’ve had this Stanley The Quadvac NeverLeak Mug for a month. Today I tossed it. I had been tolerating the two-hand operation but today it leaked on me for the last time. If I had put it together correctly, it would not have leaked on me, again. It disassembles easily for cleaning. The problem is it doesn’t go back together easily and can be reassembled in a way that allows it to leak. Unfortunately that happened to me too many times. Given the two-hand operation and the amount of effort to reassemble after cleaning, I’m disappointed with the product and have discontinued using it.
