Q: I was seriously considering buying these until I saw that there is caramel color added. Why is that added?

I so wanted to order these (what an amazing price) but the caramel color made me decide against it (my usual brand—from 🇨🇦 @ 4-5x the price—uses carob powder). While this may not be the carcinogenic form of caramel coloring, LIVESTRONG.com warns, "Certain ingredients used in making caramel coloring can cause reactions if you have an allergy to them or have celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Some of these include milk, corn dextrose, corn or wheat starch, and malt syrup derived from barley. However, these ingredients aren’t always indicated individually on the product labeling." Since I'm still sorting out related sensitivities/allergies i need to pass.

Q: Is there any dha in the product i.e. the rTg? I need a product with no dha.

There's no dha at all in this formula - it's EPA rtg

Q: Is there any soy in this product? I see that it contains Vitamin E ... is that soy-based?

Q: What is the difference between this and Pharmepa Maintain which is also produced by Iggenus?

Pharmepa Maintain contains 750mg of EPA, 250mg DHA (both omega-3 fatty acids), 60mg GLA (omega-6) and 1200IU vitamin D per 3 capsules. Pure Essentials Ultra EPA Concentrate contains 1000mg of EPA per 2 capsules with no DHA, GLA, or vitamin D
