Bag was already locked. So what is the code to unlock it? I tried 000 999 but it didn't open

I was so happy when these arrived - I had ordered them for my old parents. They look great but the very first time my parents used these suitcases for a trip, they had issues with the zip. On the way back the zip just kept splitting apart and they almost missed their flight because it opened up at the airport and I had to run and buy another suitcase for them and move their things. Terrible quality! Disappointing!
