I've never been mad keen on multitools - thinking they're just incredibly noisy jack-of-all-trades, but have recently been doing some renovation work and really come to appreciate how good they are for cutting out rotten wood and scraping paint. Because dragging an extension lead up a ladder is an immense pain in the bum I decided to upgrade to cordless, but couldn't justify spending bosch blue money on an occasional-use tool. This product and a bosch-makita battery adaptor and I'm in business for 1/3 the price of a bosch one. And it just works! I've used it much more than I expected it to; trimming guttering, cutting latch holes in door frames etc and it doesn't miss a beat. It's probly not as refined as a posh model but who cares? I'll use it till it dies and then buy the same one again.

Not fit for purpose. As soon as you place the blade against any material that pressure stop the motor so it doesn’t cut.

Only used it once so far but worked well and is exactly as described. For domestic users like me it’s great.

Vibrations produced are much stronger than genuine makita product causing elbow pain on first use.

I got this as I had some cheap 3rd party Makita batteries, and I'm glad I did. As powerful as you'd expect a cordless device at this low price, it's tackled some tough jobs without issue. Has 6 speeds which go from gentle to pretty quick. Quiet on lowest speed, a bit noisy on the fastest, but it's a moot point as the business end can cause much more noise in action. Ear defenders recommended. The tools are changed very easily. The lever on the top opens up the jaws and it will stay open if moved open 180 degrees. Tools are universal and I've had no trouble with any different makes, and they hold firm without any wiggle. Has a LED light on the base to point at the tip when it's turned on. Battery fits easily and the tool has a good grip and balance. Won't stand up on the end but lays flat ok. Extras are good quality with a grip, different cutting bits and a Velcro block that takes the three different grade sandpaper triangles. So far it's been great, will update if anything changes.

Good piece of kit for what I need it for. I didn't want to spend a lot on a Makita, as I'd rarely use it, so this cheap option that uses Makita LXT batteries that I have plenty of, was a great alternative. Easy to use, Cuts well. I'd say much noisier than the branded models. It states for use with Makita batteries, which work well however the fit is a little lose.

Tolles Teil! Funktioniert einwandfrei, liegt gut in der Hand und hat ordentlich Power. Ich habe es mit einem Makita-Akku getestet – läuft wie ein Bienchen auf Koffein. 😄 Für kleinere Arbeiten, Schleifen, Schneiden und all die Projekte, die man lange vor sich herschiebt, ist dieses Werkzeug absolut top. Zubehör drauf, Akku rein, los geht’s – ohne Kabelsalat, ohne Fluchen. Zur Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen – das wird sich mit der Zeit zeigen. Aber bisher: kein Wackeln, kein komischer Geruch, kein Gefühl von „gleich fliegt’s auseinander“. Fazit: Preis-Leistung stimmt, funktioniert super, macht, was es soll – und sogar ein bisschen Spaß dabei. Wer schon Makita-Akkus hat, ist hier genau richtig! 🔧🔋💪
