Great for hempwool!
As we in the U.S. become more enlightened about all the eco building practices and materials out there and excited to implement them, finding the tools to make it happen can be difficult. This saw is a winner for cutting hempwool. Unlike Rockwood (similar in structure to hempwool and for which this saw is recommended), it won't dull the saw quickly. It even has a very nice fabric cover and blade guard. Installing hempwool? This saw is a winner!

Made cutting rolls of pole barn insulation a breeze
My wife and dad thought I was crazy for buying this but I could cut rolls of r19 that were about 3ft diameter in about 20 seconds with no ripping or fraying. I wish it was longer in my case but I just rolled the rolls on the floor and cut around them. Worth every penny

Saw exceeded my expectations. It’s small so it fits in my kit well. Cuts insulation very well.

Too Flimsy For Many Applications
I've owned a few collapsable insolation saws and this is definitely the most flimsy; I feel like it could slip easily. I was also disappointed to see that the blade itself was slightly rusted when it arrived. Ultimately it'll probably get the job done but I don't recommend it and I wouldn't order it again.

Huge time saver, worked fantastic
We just insulated our new house. Bought this on a whim and it was a game changer. So much easier than using a razor or scissors (we're not professionals). If you're going to do more than a few bats (especially mineral insulation) it's totally worth the money.

Smooth like butter
LIKES: does a fantastic job of cutting through thick foam insulation without creating a huge mess, comfortable grip. DISLIKES: none to report. HOW USING: I use blocks of insulation at work (high school science teacher) while teaching engineering and this saw helps out tremendously when I need to cut the blocks into individual sizes. RECOMMENDATION: Yes. This is a great saw if you regularly have to cutting thick blocks of insulation without wanting a huge mess.
