Seachem Flourish Excel Planted Aquarium Fertilizer, 250 ml

I have been using excel for a while now. I use as directed on the bottle and tend to underdose as it is a strict no-no to overdose. I do not posses a planted aquarium with substrate, my aquarium has only java moss and java fern. I observed that the leaves of the fern were turning black so i started using excel. the leaves are green and healtly now, i also observed that the new fern rhizome has grown. I am now planning to use it in combination with flourish comprehensive, will see the results and update.Very good product and does not effect my fishes, but please remember to follow instructions and not overdose.

Very Good, I noticed plant leaves becomes little large n healthy with bright green colour within1 week. Mine is only fully planted aquarium with ferts n non - CO2 tank, but plants like vallisneria were brown n lack of new leaf growth. Now with Seachem Excel addition, vallisneria is growing new 2 leaves quickly. Even cabomba is v bright green n spread fronds very well. Floating plants like fern n water lettuce multiples so fast. I have to remove excess of them. Happy with the purchase.

Must buy for those who have not have an expensive Co2 system. But the price could have been a bid lower.

Been using it for a week, yet to see any effects. The bottle cap is very difficult to open, I dunno why it's designed like this. So far it has had zero effect on my tank. Will update review later

I used it in my Walstad tank and it has increased plant growth. Contrary to the popular rumour,it doesn't melt Jungle Vallisneria IF THE PLANTS ARE MADE USED TO IT BY DOSING HALF THE RECOMMENDED DOSE AND GRADUALLY INCREASING the dose over a period of 10-15 days.However,my Hydrilla suffered a bit but that too is now growing new braches which are tolerating the Excel.Update: using it from 5 months now & its just WOWW!! Sagittaria Subulata is carpeting,Hygros have all gone crazy & now even hydrilla is growing stronger than ever.

Many people have doubts on the usage of this product so let me explain. This is a liquid CO2 and is useful for people who do not have pressurized or DIY CO2 injecting system in their planted tank. I used it alongside a pressurised CO2, and it gives decent results. However, please be careful as it also prompted Algae growth. Make sure you have some decent algae eaters in your tank before starting to use this. And most importantly remember that this is not a fertilizers. It's only a CO2 promoter.

This product works excellent with warm water. Add 10 drops of Seachem in 2 lts of Luke warm water to get the real effect. Good for fishes too. My 8 fishes have now became 53 as fishes reproduced.
