Great and works as advertised. Almost flat audio, no bass boost. Good as a budget monitor. One suggestions for those buying it for use with a PC- please check out the Amazon exclusive variant of this one which has a shorter cable that is easier to manage -Audio-Technica ATH-M20x/1.6. Build quality is good. and materials appear to be durable. I am reducing one point for repairability due to fixed cable. A detachable cable would be appreciated more. Since it is closed back and has snug fitting silicone earcups, passive noise cancellation is good. This takes us to the next point: While the fit is nice, the snugness can lead to discomfort due to heat build up. You will find yourself getting warm within 10-20 minutes of use. Just somethign to be mindful of. In Kanpur's moderate weather of March, I find the need to ventilate periodically to cool off the ears and wipe the prespiration from the cups to prevent damage to them. I think this is common in all closed back, over the ear headphones, though. Audio levels: Something inexperienced users like me should be mindful of. This has a capable and precise driver and make sure not to exceed 60-70% (50 to be safe) mark if you don't know what to expect from the file. It can be very loud and can hurt your hearing. Update- wearing it after 2 months - this thing is so heavy! I mean 190 grams sounds light on paper but try telling that to your neck!

This is one of the best purchases i have made in recent times. The headphones are simply awesome bang for the buck. I purchased them from 3200 from Amazon and got the delivery in 2 days since the 2 day shipping was available. This review is being posted after about 2 weeks of usage. Dividing the Review into Pros and Cons - Pros 1. Excellent Soundstage. 2. Brilliant Clarity. Each instrument can be heard clearly and you will hear sounds that you never heard before. 3. Build Quality is sturdy and premium materials have been used. Considering that M20x are the starting range of the Audio Technica Headphone, i have to say they have done a really good job. Premium materials have been used, the foam at the top of the band and around the ear cups is of really good quality. Cons 1. The wire is really long and while this can be a pro as well since it gives the ability to move around i would have like a shorter wire and preferably a detachable wire as is provided with the 40x and other models higher up in the range 2. They are big ! Not something that will be very easy to carry around and i rely on by earphones for taking along in my laptop bag. These are meant to be enjoyed at home for me. When worn properly your entire ears will fit in the ear cups. And this provided excellent sound quality and noise isolation. However, the size will need getting used to and now after 2 weeks i do not feel that awkward and am able to enjoy them despite the huge size. 3. Your ears will sweat since they are in the ear cups and while they cannot be worn for long intervals - that is more than 30 minutes at the start. Once you get used to them - after about 2 weeks and when sitting in an AC room you can easily listen to them for hours. The sound quality is so good that once you are accustomed to the size you enjoy them immensely. At the end i would like to say that these are something that every music lover should have ! Yes, the sound quality is so good ! I listened to all sorts of music on these and i have to say that when used with an equalizer they are especially good. I personally use an App called "Power Amp" on Android, which works great. Than i also listen to a lot of Wynk and You Tube for which an app called "Bass Equalizer" does a really good job. This app will work with online music, that is the beauty of it. The headphones have a lot of bass, their inbuilt signature is flat and for bass lovers, when used with the apps i mentioned they give sufficient bass. The music that excels the most on these headphones is live music, like MTV unplugged. And Acoustic music where guitars and Cellos are used. In a nutshell, if you primarily listen to music on earphones since they are so much more convenient and easy to carry than these will be a revelation for you.

Crisp and Clear Sound, good bass and treble even at High volume. I use it for listening to songs on my Computer and phone , they're comfortable and you can wear them for hours.

Been using these Audio Technica m20x headphones since a week. I am a casual music listener and wouldn't consider myself in the Audiophile category. My review is in comparison to another set of headphones (Bluedio Turbine T2) which I purchased in Feb'17. That one still still works well BTW, but I had an itch to buy myself some new gadget. So I thought lets try out one of these "premium" headphones and experience what the fuss is all about. PROS: ======== 1. LOOKS: the matte finish of these headphones with the all black color and Audio Technica logo in grey on the headband makes it look very mature and professional. The gold plated connector also adds to the premium look. 2. BUILD: although its a plastic build overall, its quite sturdy. Seems like it should last for a long time without easily damaging. What I liked is the quality of the connecting wire which is thicker than usual, and coated with soft rubber which makes it flexible. 3. SOUND QUALITY: this is why you will purchase it of course. These are professional sound mixing grade Monitor headphones so the sounds are very clear and immersive. It takes a bit getting used to after being used to the regular ones over the years. But after a couple of days, you wont be able to go back to your older headphones/earphones. BASS is lower than other cheaper headphones. But that's because of the true sound reproduction without enhancing bass. This is the truest form of the sound created. So please Note, BASS lovers would be disappointed. 4. SOUND ISOLATION & LEAK: thanks to the ear cups covering your whole ear without gaps, both sound isolation as well as sound leak are good. 5. COMFORT: inspite of the large size these are lightweight. The ear pads are made of soft material and are big enough to cover my whole ear. These are very comfortable to wear - much more comfortable than my Bluedio headphones. Although wearing for prolonged duration makes it a bit uncomfortable due to the stiffness of the headband. This should get better with time. CONS: ======== 1. VOLUME/OUTPUT LEVEL: in comparison to my Bluedio headphones, the volume seems a bit lower. But its loud enough at full volume so not much of a disadvantage. 2. PORTABILITY: given the big size of these headphones and the fact that they are not foldable, these are not very portable. The long length of the wire too is not helpful in carrying these outdoors. These are best used at home. 3. NO MIC: if this headset had a mic then I would have been more satisfied since I could have used it for making calls. But this is a known fact from product details. 4. SWEATY EARS: In a humid place like Mumbai, your ears tend to get sweaty due to the leathery finish ear cups of the headphones. VERDICT: ======== I am not so sure if my decision to buy this was right, considering that I already have another pair of Headphones which works fine and is more convenient (wireless). And I am not even a regular music listener. But I am still liking these. They are a good pair of headphones with good sound quality, comfortable padding, premium build and awesome looks. Would recommend these to anyone who wants to jump from the sub Rs.1500 category to a higher level.

Investigue muchísimo antes de comprarlos y fueron la mejor opción, creo que la mejor palabra para definirlos es: fidedignos. Los altos se escuchan mucho más claros que en todos los audífonos que había tenido y en general el audio se siente super nítido y aisla muy bien el ruido de fuera haciendo muy inmersivo usarlos. Estaba acostumbrado a mis Skullcandy hesh 2 que son geniales por tener Bluetooth y cable desconectable además de que siendo aún más baratos realzan un poco los graves pero creo que para un estudio y para mezclar música estos son más adecuados por la claridad y el aislamiento además de que ya necesitaba unos nuevos que quiero dedicarlos solo para el estudio. Igual en mi estudio tengo un subwoofer con los monitores y me hacen percibir siempre los graves más fuerte haciendo que con estos sienta que le faltan graves pero solo es un cuestión de que esto te brinda el sonido plano, lo que es mejor para tomar desiciones de mezcla y ecualización, esto también ayuda a que no me cansen los oidos tan rápido por no decir que son muy cómodos apesar de apretar un poco para aislar el ruido de fuera. El cable es super largo lo cual yo quería para poder grabar con micrófono más distante y estar cómodo en general. Tiene su adaptador para jack grande con lo que entran directo a mi interfaz de audio o se los quito para mí controlador de DJ. Los M40x he escuchado que son tantito mejor y además les puedes quitar el cable lo que es bueno por si se te atoran y evitas tirones pero la verdad no quería pagar el doble y creo que por el precio estos son los mejores audífonos que se pueden comprar para grabar en estudio e incluso para un dj aunque si es solo para mezclar de DJ me decantaria por otro modelos y con el cable más corto. Creo que lo único que no me gusta es que sobre salga el cable de los lados donde se extienden pero ya que solo los usaré para el estudio no creo que suceda nada. Para escucha casual recomiendo más los Skullcandy hesh 2 que son ultra resistentes, tienen Bluetooth y cable que les puedes quitar, tiene un refuerzo de graves y son baratos y de batalla, yo me los llevo en la bici a todos lados y se me han caído cientos de veces, se han apachurrados, mojado jaloneado y demás y solo se me descarapelaron. Tienen como 4 años y la batería me sigue durando como 8 horas continuas. Pero si los quieres como pianista, productor o para escuchar música claramente en casa y sin gastar mucho, esto es lo mejor que te vas a encontrar.

Le cuffie si presentano in una confezione minimale seppure di qualità, che contiene oltre alle cuffie, un adattatore jack da 3,5 mm a 6,35 mm. Per quanto riguarda la qualità costruttiva non c'è nulla da ridire, sono solide anche se costituite in stragrande maggioranza in plastica. Il confort fornito dai padiglioni in similpelle è davvero buono, ed è accompagnato dal confort fornito dall'imbottitura dell'archetto superiore; tutto questo favorisce un ascolto prolungato senza alcun problema. A livello sonoro sono ottime, queste cuffie Monitor sono perfette sia per l'editing audio tanto quanto per l'ascolto della musica; anche se non ci si deve aspettare Bassi troppo esaltati così come per le altre frequenze, ma tutto ciò non deve stupire dato che queste cuffie devo rendere un suono che deve risultare il più possibile vicino alla reale traccia audio. Tirando le somme, posso dire che il prodotto è più che valido per la fascia di prezzo in cui si propone.
