I was tired of constantly removing my Ring doorbell camera to charge it. This was simple to install and works perfectly. My camera was at 60% when I first set it up, and now it's at 75%. The top panel is adjustable, so you can angle it toward the sun. It is a bit bulky, and I'm not a fan of the size, but I love the convenience of having it always charged.

I was looking for a solar charger to charge my ring doorbell so I wouldn't have to take it down so often to charge. I originally bought the one by Ring but it didn't charge as well. I still had to take it down every week to charge. With this one, I charged it to 100% first and then hooked it up. Its was really easy. Since I've installed this charger I have not had to take it down to charge. It keeps it at around 73%. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and still keeping a charge! It even charges on cloudy days! This is a very good buy! I highly recommend!

When it works it’s great. But when it rains the solar panel gets pushed downward, so that it’s straight up and down, so when the sun comes back out again the panel faces away from the sun and won’t charge the device. And because I have it attached to the side of my roof the only way for me to fix it is to bring a ladder out there to reach it. My advice to the company that makes them: add a way to lock the solar panel in place, like a tension screw or knob that can be tightened by the customer to lock it in place.

There was a few days we didn’t have hardly any sun and the battery kept draining. I took the ring bell off and the little piece that goes into the back of the doorbell to charge it broke off. I called Amazon and they sent me out a replacement. I plugged the back piece in, and it didn’t show it was charging by the solar so I unplugged it and then the piece broke off again. Called Amazon again, they said they couldn’t do a replacement but can do a refund. I’m going to try to order it again and see what happens. I really love the concept of this and when it was working, it was doing a good job. The battery was draining on the faster side because I had the motion sensitivity all the way up. Never knew how busy my street was until I had this. I really want this to work so I can keep my motion detection on all the time because of the neighborhood I live in. Has this happened to anyone else?? Maybe third times a charm? UPDATE: After the piece broke I contacted Amazon and they replaced the unit. It came in the next day and the same piece broke off. Called Amazon again and they refunded me and I decided to buy an another one. Am I a sucker? Maybe but I truly love the concept of solar charger. Got the other one in and so far so good. 🙏🏻🤞🏻 There were DAYS we had no sun and I had to bring it in to charge the doorbell but that’s understandable. I love this product and even though I’ve had a few issues, I still recommend it. Also, their customer service is spectacular! They address your concerns and get back to you just about immediately. Will be ordering another one soon

Works only with 2nd generation Ring video doorbells. Check your model before ordering. Connects easily and fits snugly around your video doorbell. I highly recommend these if you can't hard wire your Ring video doorbell and are tired of having to remove the unit to charge the battery. Keeps your battery fully charged if in direct sunlight for roughly 6 hours daily.

I had a brand solar charger that stopped working at just under 2 years. It had 3 small panels, left right and top. I ordered this one due to price, desperation and hope. It is quite a bit larger than I anticipated (I hadn't looked at dimensions before ordering). Since I already had one installed, the holes were already there. I removed the old and placed this on, included screws worked well. Somehow the backplate for my ring was missing a screw, two after I lost one when removing it from the old panel. Thankfully, this unit included those small screw I needed. They even had an extra! Perfect for people like me (lots of foliage in the area) My battery was hanging on at 3% when I installed this after sunset. By the following sunset, 57%. My location IS in a high sun spot, but I expected 20's for percentage. After a few days, it's still 57% so I'm assuming it's a combination of rainy weather and poor battery. I'm guessing my battery doesn't hold full charge due to age (4 years of use). We will see what happens at the end of this week, but I'm very happy with it's function. Also, being able to angle the top panel is beneficial!

My device is doorbell 4. The panel seems to work and can be detected in the app, but it took about a day to get reflected in the app. And there seems to be a lag such that in the night (10pm) it’s shown as charging, but in daytime shown as connected but not charging.

Tengo 10 días qué instalé los paneles he pasado de un 100% a un 70% de carga. Los paneles no están mirando al sur pero estan instalados en un cancel con barrotes qué dejan pasar algo de sol en la mañana y a partir de la 1:00 hasta las 6:00 pm reciben sol directamente. Entiendo qué eso, más el nivel de movimiento qué hay en mi calle, hace que no pueda cargar la batería al ritmo qué se gasta, pero esperaba que se consumiera mucho más lento. Actualización 2 meses después: Subí mi review a 5 estrellas por que en los 2 meses que llevo con el cargador solar nunca bajo la carga de 68% a pesar de estar semanas nublado y con lluvia. Nunca subió del 72%, Pero si tiene el mismo desempeño en el futuro igual qué el que tuvo en este tiempo, no creo que se termine la batería pronto.

This has served us well now for over a year. Keeps the charge up over 75% and gets thru the winter days too. A good quality charger at a good value price

De Todos Los Cargadores solares que he probado este sin duda es el mejor, incluso el original que por cierto no funciona para nada y les recomiendo no comprarlo, este es el mejor de todos tengo desde que lo instale manteniendo una carga del 90% al 95% sin necesidad de cambiar la batería ,, como usuario de Ring desde hace muchos años este es el mejor prodcuto que pueden tener y si es indispensable si tienen la opción de recibir luz solar directa por lo menos de 2 horas diarias este es el mejor cargador que pueden conseguir.
