Bantam Alox Swiss Army Knife, 5 Function Swiss Made Pocket Knife with Large Blade, Screwdriver and Bottle Opener – Silver

I had wanted to add an Alox SAK to my collection and finally broke down and purchased the Bantam since it was the most affordable. I read and listened to a lot of reviews before buying it, and it is clear that many saw the benefits of this knife. It is incredibly thin and light (1 oz.) and makes a perfect EDC especially in an urban setting. The combo tool increases its EDC usefulness, but I will pair it with a Gerber Dime, a multi-tool equally small and light that adds a few things the Bantam omits like scissors and pliers. The two should provide all that I normally need. It is an attractive knife with the silver Alox scales and has appropriately been described as a 'gentleman's knife.' The blade comes in under 3 inches and is non-locking (as are most SAKs), so not only is it legal carry in Great Britain, but also in restrictive places like Illinois. A quality product worthy of anyone's collection.

Excellent quality and value. Using mine as a wallet multitool. It's so thin and lightweight you don't notice it in your wallet. Very happy with mine, no issues. Would buy again, highly recommended. Excellent EDC or survival kit compact tool. Built to last a lifetime. It has no keyring, keeping it totally streamlined. I like that. Has a medium sized blade, and a combo tool which does many things. Here are just some of the combo tool uses: scrapper, light duty pry tool, flat head and phillips drivers, box opener, can opener, bottle top opener, and wire stripper/ wire bender. Very practical tool, it's so compact that it's hard to believe, I would guess this has to be the thinest SAK that is currently being made, at least of the medium sized SAKs.... Everyone should have at least one, it's the definition of utility.

The nicest small knife around. I like it far better than Case or Buck. Slimmer & sharper. Perfect to carry all the time. Doesn't scare anyone or raise eyebrows. My fav brand is Spyderco...but much more money.

This is an incredible knife. It's thin, light, and very useful. The grip is perfect, it's an affordable price, looks nice and fits in the hand and pocket well.

I have carried a pocket knife for 60 years and I am always looking for the ideal "Every Day Carry" knife. This knife puts the most usefulness in the lightest, thinnest, easiest to carry, package that I have found so far. I can carry it in the watch pocket on my jeans. It does not make a scary statement when I get it out in polite company to open one of today's ridiculously difficult and wasteful bubble packages. For being so small and light it is solidly built. It is big enough to be a useful tool in my hand. I want a sharp blade, but also something to do the jobs my thin fingernails are not up to. My need for a can opener/bottle opener is minimal, but I find the utility blade has many uses for scraping and prying to save the edge on the main blade. My only complaint is that the utility blade comes with all its sharp edges nicely smoothed off. I used a metal file to square of the end of the screwdriver and can opener edges to make them more useful. This is a small light knife I keep razor sharp. I often augment it by also carrying a folding utility knife with a replaceable blade (Workpro) when I anticipate any serious DYI knife work. This is so easy to carry I can carry both when I need. I have given up finding the perfect "always in my pocket" small light big heavy duty knife suitable for both delicate tasks and cutting up a carpet. I quite like the "functional tool" statement it makes in contrast to the current crop of useless "tactical survival" knives that look like a cross between a spaceship and a shark and are a waste of pocket space to carry.

This knife is perfect for the minimalist. Its got enough tools to get you buy and it's very thin and light. Don't even feel it in your pocket and it's very well made. The blade and combination tool is all most guys need for edc. The combo tool combines the screwdriver, can opener, pop bottle opener and wire stripper into one tool. Keeping this knife ultra thin. Perfect for a tiny pocket organizer or even slipping it into a wallet. When ya need it, ya got it. Great minimalist Swiss Army knife. Love the feel of the Alox handle as well. Get it if you want a small, light, thin and super handy little knife. Ty

The Alox version, just two implements, blade and opener/driver. Very compact, slender package, easy on the pocket. The red handle one adds tweezer and toothpick, bit thicker and heavier. Stainless, easy to keep sharp, and durable. Do your part and it'll last forever. No locking blade, but solid spring action with a "halfway" detente to prevent abrupt closure. Light enough, it's the one that will be on me when I need it. Really a fine pocket knife and worthy of its considerable reputation.
