Great product at great price
I'm using this with an extension cable to see behind my 22' boat when I trailer it. So far works great. Will be headed on a long trip with the boat in a week and I'll update if anything changes. Was super easy to install, provides nice picture quality. The kit comes with a lot of flexibility for ways to connect and I love that it includes both a backup wire or a cigarette adapter option for power right in the box (most just have a power cord and you have to buy an adapter if you want the cigarette adapter). The cords are plenty long for about any kind of car (I needed an adapter for my boat, but the cord goes out the back of my Tahoe and about 4' up onto the deck of my boat with enough slack for turning). I'm also impressed with their customer service...they offer a free window mount and a second camera kit (even free shipping), which I am taking advantage of. Have not received either yet, but have emailed back and forth a couple times to get the information they need to send me the free items and they have been very polite and responsive (though their English is not exceptional). I do wish the camera had an option to turn off the backup distance bars (some cameras have a switch or at least a wire you can cut of you don't want these), but at this price I'm not complaining. Overall a solid system for just over $30!

Great Value. Excellent Camera.
This inexpensive camera exceeded my expectations in several ways. I installed as a front facing camera so I could closely approach poles in parking spots. Installation was easy following the clear instructions. The 1080P image is perfect and is kept sharp by the bright LEDs. The camera is installed above the Honda symbol in the photo and is hardly noticeable. The display was mounted in an available cubby. Best of all, i can now park within a few inches of poles without nudging them.

Cheap solution for your backup camera needs.
Used this kit for my 2002 Ford SVT Focus. The only difficulty I experienced was taking apart all the trim on my car to run the cable, which isn't an issue the manufacturer or the seller could be held responsible for. The cable was quite long I had several extra feet of cable after installed with no wires showing so small to medium sized cars shouldn't need an extension or any thing. However, if you go the route of wiring the kit into your reverse lights you may find the wire you need to splice in a little on the short side. It was just barely long enough to work in my car although it is a hatchback so it may not be as long of a distance from license plate to reverse lights in other vehicle types. The kit did come with T-taps for easy splicing into your reverse lights. The T-taps however were utter trash and I was unable to use them. I recommend buying a cheap set of taps when you purchase this kit it will save you time and a headache. But who can really complain about the taps that came with the kit they weren't even advertised as being included, I don't think. The monitor is good for what it is, its tiny and 720p, I mean it is what it is not quite high def but adequate for this application, I think. Lots of settings to play with and adjust to make it a little bit easier to look at but overall I think it's a good monitor for the price. One thing I would have liked would have been an extra input jack for a 2 camera set up. A bg drawback for me personally and the application I used it for was the monitor. In the picture it seems to sit on a little spindly stand which would have been perfect. What I actually got was a flat rectangular stand the monitor actually fits into. With a 20 year old compact Ford, and their love of curved dashes in that era, I have no place to mount the screen really so I ended up just cutting all the 3M double sided tape and lining the monitor with it and wedging it into the corner where the dash and driver side A-pillar intersect for now until I can find a better solution. Camera is cheap and grainy and set at that rounded fish eye angle. I dunno, it sounds like a good idea on paper but even with calibrating my grid lines and my camera angle the fish eye camera still makes the spacial awareness of backing your car up a bit of a guessing game since the sides of your screen are distorted and rounded. **THERE IS NO NIGHT VISION ON THIS CAMERA** The camera is encircled in bright little LED lights but there are no IR sensorsor anything that's going to actually illuminate a dark area on the scale they advertise, this is more akin to there just being a small but bright flashlight. I did some tests in a pitch black area and it did okay. Not great but it was adequate. Overall this is a cheap solution to your backup camera needs, it isn't fancy but it gets the job done. I will update this review with reliability and durability but as of now it functions properly and was easy to install. I'm actually considering buying another one to put in my truck. UPDATE: 10/14/2020 I was able to find an inexpensive suction cup mount for a GPS at my local supercenter so that fixed my only problem for a time. However, after a few weeks the adhesive that holds the built-in magnetic plate on the monitor came loose. I scraped all the old residue off the plate and reattached it with some Gorilla Glue and it seems to be holding up well now. It could have been a fluke but I figured I would update this review.

Easy install and great camera.
I bought this for my 2008 Ford Escape. It was installed in less than 2 hours and has been working great since. A few things to note. Test everything before you do the install. This is designed to attach to license plate mounts. On my Escape the license plate is on the hatch, so I chose not to mount there just because running the wires was slightly more difficult than I wanted to handle. Instead I mounted it to the bumper. I drilled 3 holes in total. 2 were 1/8 inch holes for the camera bracket itself and one was 1/2 inch for the cable from the camera to the power and screen. I also used marine grade sealant to plug the screw holes. I used a rubber grommet for the larger hole for the cable. I only drilled through the fiberglass, but wanted to lock the screws in with the silicone. The grommet is just to keep the wire from rubbing the edge of the hole in the fiberglass. The wiring was the most complicated part just because I didn’t know which was ground and which was live because my wires for my backup lights were all dirty and wrapped in tape. Once I sorted that out, the connection was easy. Then it was running and hiding the cables to finish it off. The cables from the camera to the tail light were straight forward. Hid them behind the bumper and zip tied them to the other wiring bundles. Ran the power cable from the light through the back of the tailgate through a small hole in the frame. From there it was just push it under the edges of the trim on the driver’s side. I ran it under the driver’s seat and then under the center island until I reached the tail coming off the camera. The monitor is great as well. It’s clear and bright. It also has a metal plate on the back to attach with an included magnet mount. Once the camera was install, adjusting it was easy using the four buttons on the back of the monitor. You can adjust color brightness, contrast as well as the various angles of the assist lines. Based on the breakdown of the grid, it seems like the green indicates about 4 feet in distance, yellow is 3 feet and red is 2 feet or less. I was so impressed with it, I ordered a second one for my sons truck. If something happens (camera stops working, etc.) I’ll update this review.

Easy to install, with many customizable options. Good camera, LEDs work well. No more blind spots
Great back up cam! Good quality LED lighting and very sturdy construction. Seller includes 1: camera (roughly 1x1inch) mounted on a license plate bracket (length of top of license plate, roughly 3/4 in wide and less than 1/4 in thick... So very easy to fit!) 2: connection wire (more than enough length for my sedan) 3: extra "just in case" wire 4: easy connectors if you choose to install by connecting to rear/brake lights 5: 12V”cigarette lighter" attachment with push on/off button if you choose to install for continuous view or manual operation (including another length of wire) 6: sturdy monitor for viewing and 7: easy to understand installation manual... With links to a video of how to install. (PS: if that link is in a language you don't speak, just Google the product name and add 'installation'... There's a ton on YouTube) Installation is fairly easy, especially if you've ever installed subwoofers... Run the cable from the back license plate to the dash through the side panels... And just plug in the pre-terminated leads to the camera itself and the other side to to monitor. Monitor comes with 3m sticky strips for day mounting, but seller is awesome and will send you a suction mount if that is not compatible (like my Pontiac with curved dash.....ugh) Install is easy, if it is above your technical abilities just ask a savvy friend or your favorite mechanic.... Should be less than an hour to do a very good job. The camera is good quality, and I've had no problems with rain/snow etc. If it fogs up during major weather changes, this is unavoidable to my knowledge (think of your back windows....) But the lights definitely help. It's not a 4k resolution.... But do you really want that just for backing up? The camera has saved me many times backing out of a sloped driveway onto a very very busy street, so I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid solution. There may be better cameras or whatever, but in my opinion, this does a fantastic job, doesn't break the bank, and I will be getting another for my parents, GF, and a friend who works with a distribution company and always complains about backing up box trucks. No more blind spots! Anyone in the delivery/service industry, this is an inexpensive way to make your life SO MUCH easier

Good Backup Camera But it Does NOT Have Nightvision
The camera is descent for the money, the screen is small but serviceable and acceptable quality. The install instructions were minimal but if you are remotely familiar with wiring a 12 volt accessory you should have no problems. The wiring was just long enough to work in my full sized Dodge van. Its not a extended, just a standard 3500. The wiring is easy in a van as it doesn't have to go outside the vehicle other than the hook up at the plate and its pretty much a straight shot. For a full sized pickup you might want to consider the extended wiring harness. I literally was down to inches but was able to reach. This thing makes hooking up a trailer a breeze. Now for the down side. The description says "nightvision" which I think to most folks generally means that the LED's used are infrared and non visible to the human eye but visible to the camera. That not the case with this. These are illuminated, visible white LED's on the camera. They will be on anytime you have the camera turned on at night. The camera has a sensor to detect daylight. Depending on your set up, if you want to leave the camera on to keep an eye on your trailer or just see whats going on behind you, doing so at night is likely going to draw the ire of the law since its not legal to have bright LED's facing backward. If you have a big enclosed trailer, it probably wont matter as the LED's will not be visible to other drivers (or the law) behind you. I was disappointed that the LED's are not infrared but other than that the system is good for the money. I gave it 3 stars based on a the misleading description. If you're hooking it up to the reverse lights, it won't be a issue and they do provide a nice push button cigarette lighter adapter hook up so turning it on or off is easy. Just don't forget it at night lol.

Works for RAV4 2011
Completely satisfied, the camera can be attached seamlessly to license plate. Wire is long enough for long SUV for any cable management solution. Installation is easy, only need a screwdriver. Camera quality is clear, object is further than its look in camera, it will take few days to familiar with scaling. Overall, it is great product for old car, saves hundreds for similar product in Auto Shop.
