IF YOU INTEND TO USE THIS ON A TRIPOD LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
UPDATE: They have since corrected the wrong thread and sent me a replacement and for that I'm updating my review. I bought this to use on a desk tripod and that was a bad idea becasue in all of the 7 tripod that I have this thing didn't fit in any of the screws my guess is, it came with a fine tread while the standard screw (atleast here in America) is coarse.

Excellent support
Had a few issues dealing with a new computer attempting to adjust and install items. I consulted their support team and was e-mailed with options to installing the camera. They were explicit and I was able to have the camera functioning in no time. Excellent image quality also.

The size is small enogh to be used in front of my big (55") monitor. The dedicated stand is a must.
The only self stand capable camera for my Zoom sessions. I have a huge TV monitor for my computer and I was in search of camera that has its own stand. Others are to be clipped on the monitor itself so I had no control of the size and position of my face on the camera. This camera was perfect for me. The only issue with it is the image colar changes dramatically based on the availble light. Even though, it has an automatic color correction, it does not seem working well. I manually change it, in accorance with the light available.

Great depth of field
Easy to set up. Plugged the camera into a laptop, mounted it on a small tripod and was able to clearly see the whole room of participating personnel in the room itself.

Great quality video.
Audio and video are much better than my 6 year old Logitech camera. And it is Windows 11 compatible.

NearStream 4K Webcam - Noise Canceling Mic, 45°-95°Adjustable FOV, Auto Focus, AI Framing, Software Control, Plug&Play. This is an excellent streaming 4K webcam. The picture is top notch and you can just plug it in and it starts working (Win11). However, if you download the NearStream software you can further adjust the camera along with updating the firmware if needed. The camera automatically zooms into your face and the autofocus is fairly quick and accurate. With the software you can adjust the FOV (field of view) in panoramic view or set auto framing, flip horizontal and vertical, disable autofocus, and disable audio. Along with adjusting the video: saturation, brightness, contrast, hue, and 60Hz/50Hz. The firmware supports upgrading and downgrading. The base of the camera is very well thought out and allow you to place it on a desk / shelf in a flat or raised position, attach it to the top edge of any monitor / TV, or a tripod mount (1/4"), along with being able to rotate or tilt down the camera. The base can also be removed (one screw) if required. The cable is just over 55" (139CM). The improvement in video quality is very noticeable over the stock (720p) camera in my laptop. It also has excellent contrast control and takes advantage of available light without becoming too bright or dark. The picture is a cropped (background) portion from the same distance / angle / lighting between the NearStream and built-in camera on my laptop. Overall I think that deserves 5 stars for a quality camera.

Colour and clarity are great. Although it's only 30fps, that doesn't limit the output. It is plug and play and very versatile. Great upgrade from my previous cam.

To start, for basic functionality, this webcam is plug-and-play without any additional drivers required. Windows 10 immediately detected the webcam, and it became available for use. With sufficient lighting, the image quality is very good and the framerate stays high. When light is low, the image noise creeps up (just like any webcam) as the image sensor gain is pushed to try and compensate for the lack of available lighting, but the noise is fairly inoffensive. The camera provides very usable video at what I would consider low-light conditions. The webcam's internal autofocus works automatically without any need for special software. I've found it can focus down to just a few centimeters in front of the camera - impressive! The focus is relatively fast and tracks well, but if the camera can't decide on a focus point, it will often do a full focus reset and sweep through the focus range until it is able to find focus again. The camera makes an audible "click" when this happens, and you can feel the camera vibrate lightly as the focus motor hunts. To use the advertised "AI" auto-framing features and advanced configuration settings, you need to download and install NearStream's "NearSync" software. I suspect these "AI" software features are largely what you're paying a premium for compared to other webcams. After installing the software, updating the camera firmware, and testing it out, the auto-framing seemed very hit or miss. It worked fine for slow and deliberate movements, but would get confused at things like showing objects to the camera, or moving my hands/arms in front of my face. Even when tracking well, the movement of the framing felt somewhat unnatural. Perhaps this will be a point of continuous improvement, but I wouldn't rely on it for anything important in it's current state. Overall I think it's a good camera, but it's expensive for what it offers. Many webcams on the market can offer similar video performance at a lower price, but generally lack the "AI" features that NearStream is currently developing. I also wish it had a USB-C port instead of a fixed cable.

A big improvement to my laptop’s webcam as it was just too fuzzy for video calls and I needed a much better quality webcam to replace it, which this is. True to 4K and provides very clear video, the microphone has also proven to be great as many people have noticed it was much clearer while preventing loud background noises from getting through. Both my keyboard and mouse were not picked up by the microphone, which is a huge relief for me and my coworkers. The NearSync software was easy to use and helped with making any adjustments I needed to make to the camera, like the field of view, orientation, brightness, and many other settings. The site has both Windows and Mac support, so I can also use this on my MacBook if need be. There is an auto-focus feature that works great, and the AI-powered auto-framing has been doing a great job at keeping myself in focus. Getting it all set up was as easy as plugging it in, and I was connected to the webcam instantly. Works great with Teams and was easily recognizable for me to use right away. Overall, this webcam has everything I need while providing a great quality video and a perfect noise-cancelling microphone.

I got the NearStream 4K webcam to upgrade my setup for video calls and content, and it’s been seriously impressive. The video quality is super sharp, with true 4K clarity that makes a huge difference on Zoom, Teams, and even when recording for social media. One of my favorite features is the adjustable field of view — being able to go from a tight 45° to a wider 95° is perfect depending on whether I’m in a solo meeting or filming a broader scene. The AI framing is also a fun and useful touch — it tracks and centers you automatically, which is great for moving around without going out of frame. The noise-canceling mic has also worked surprisingly well. My voice comes through clearly even with some background noise, so I don’t have to wear a headset for every call. And it’s totally plug-and-play, with intuitive software controls if you want to fine-tune settings. Would I recommend it? Definitely. Whether you’re working remotely, streaming, or just want to look and sound your best on video, this webcam delivers premium quality without the hassle. Solid value and packed with smart features.
