Bard® Protective Barrier Film - Wipes - Box of 50

I wear an insulin pump and a Continuous Glucose Monitor to help control my diabetes. I don't have any issues with the infusion set adhesive that holds it to my body. What I have a problem with is the adhesive that holds my Continuous Glucose Monitor to my body. I react to it very negatively, and I can have a scar for a month after I wear the CGM for 5 days without BARD being applied first.When I apply BARD, I can wear the CGM for 6 days with no problem at all. I swab my skin where the CGM will adhere to me, and once it is dry, I put the adhesive on and I am great. No reaction. No itching.. nothing.I thank God the representative from Medtronic (manufacturer of my Insulin Pump and CGM) told me about it.

I just underwent Cochlear Implant surgery in October 2009 and was having great difficulty actually wearing the processor. The incision site is still tender so a friend recommended trying the Barrier wipes and seeing if I received any relief. It worked and I can wear the processor for longer periods which helps increase the benefit of having the CI in the first place (learning to hear again)

I actually would rather not have any plastic down but there is no way to keep the carpet clean across one corner of the dining room rug. It is working out fine and stays down, No complaints. Arrived earlier than expected and that is always a plus.

This stuff works. Don't know about the spray bottles in the picture to the right of the box (i got the box of 50...) but that would be good too- although it might overspray. I use it with my insulin pump infusion sets, sensors and it makes a good base for my attaching adhesives.

I found this barrier film to be helpful with my allergy to adhesive. I wear an insulin pump and have to have wear the adhesive everyday. This barrier film protects my skin from adhesive and prevents the rash and itching that usually follows. Great product.

It works… we coated the skin where a biliary tube exits the abdomen… leaking bile from the tube insertion site was irritating the skin. This product, the pad application, protected the skin. Wipe on, let dry. Simple and effective for our use.

The bard wipes are a perfect barrier to protect my 4 year old son's skin from the irritating adhesive of the Dexcom glucose monitor. We don't see the red raised rash anymore.
