Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500-Watt Non-Modular Power Supply

If you are facing random pc shut downs or pc would power on for just a second and shut down immediately, the problem could be with power supply.My desktop computer was shutting down randomly for months and once it shut down it wouldn't power on for days. After such random shut downs, if I press the power button, the pc would start for a second and then would shut down immediately. Only way to fix this was clearing CMOS and putting the RAM into different slots. It would often take several attempts for these steps to work. The pc would shut down especially when I was copying files from/to an external hard drive/ pen drive.I tried to narrow down the problem:- Removed the old RAM and installed a new RAM, still faced random shut downs, tried different slots with the new RAM, no luck.- After a random shut down, I removed all internal devices like hard drive, RAM and all usb connected devices and tried to power on the pc with just the basic components but this didn't work either.- I have installed temperature monitoring software and the processor is not overheating. System temperature was fine too.- The computer is connected to APC, so I know these shut downs are not due to voltage fluctuations.The last time the pc shut down randomly, I wasn't able to fix it despite several attempts. I realized that the problem is either with the Power Supply or Motherboard or Processor. So, I bought Cooler Master power supply, installed it and tried to power on the pc but it would power on for a second and then shut down immediately, after this, I switched off the APC, removed the CMOS battery, pressed the cabinet's power button for few seconds then inserted the CMOS battery and powered on the APC and this time when I pressed the cabinet's power button, the pc powered on properly and it's been 2 months now and the pc is working fine, I tried copying several files to external drives but have so far not faced any random shut downs.Update:After replacing the power supply, the pc worked fine for 3 months but a week ago, pc started to hang randomly. Since I had already tested the pc with new RAM and Power Supply, the only part left to replace was the motherboard, bought an Asus motherboard and pc is working fine now.One issue that clearly indicates the problem is with the motherboard is if the CMOS battery is draining really fast. In my case, a brand new CMOS battery wouldn't last for more than a week, only way to prevent this was to keep the UPS powered on.Windows Activation:After changing the motherboard, Windows 10 needs to be activated as it doesn't recognize the new hardware. For this go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Change Product Key.

Best ever psu. There are zebronics iball frontec even pricy corsair cx series moderate circle etc. But all claim 450watt or 500watt not give u optimum while gaming. Voltage will drop graphics card will hamper or hdd will permanently get damage. This is my personal experience. I have gtx 1050ti 4gb. So Cooler Master lite is exellent and okay for small caby for gaming.

The power supply works fine but it is making a noise even when the Pc is turned off, I believe it is a defective product because power supply are meant to remain silent , I can hear a continuous frequency like something is crackling inside it , and I'm afraid this will die sooner. Sad that I cannot replace it for such an issue.

This is a good PSU for PC builders who are on budget.Reputed names must be preferred and one should not trust a random PSU made in Ulhasnagar and expect it to protect all your expensive PC components.

Awesome product and very quiet. You will never feel any sort of noise from it. The wires are very nicely tangled/wrapped and also very lengthy. I would really recommend this product to all people who hate noise and love silence.
