How can you tell the difference between your salt and pepper if the both are black?

Hi there EileenD, what a good question! On top of each mill there are brass screws that undo to access the interior to enable you to fill up the pots. On top of these screws is a neat S on one and P on the other - and no, to date, I've never grabbed the wrong one. These are the best mills I've ever owned though and I would highly recommend them.
