I’ve used many bluing agents for ponds, and this blue is the best I’ve ever used. When they say it’s concentrated, they’re not kidding! The deep dark blue dye quickly permeates my 1/4 acre pond and colors the water a deep blue hue. This helps control algae growth, or better said, retards algae growth noticeably. I have a 12 foot waterfall and I add the concentrated dye near the water intake to the pump. Within a couple of minutes the blue tint speeds over the waterfall and spreads evenly over my pond. It is heavily concentrated, giving you a grerat value for your money. The concentrate functions well, so start slow because you can always more. You won’t believe how well this dye works on your pond or water project!

I built a pond roughly 20' x 45' and 4 feet deep. I added about 2 to 3 ounces of product which made the pond extremely blue. Ended up draining the pond and refilling since the customer didn't like the color.

Works great and if you are a smart pond owner with koi fish you know to add a little bit let fish adjust then add a little more later, especially if you have other chemicals already using. It’s blue dye treat it as it is you use common kitchen dye so you know it stains and just a drop can go a long way. Just add water/rain to lighten up and with time it does too. This product is a replacement to having a lot of vegetation that would cover bottom and top of pond. Your pond is not a fish tank to always see fish it helps shade to control algae growth. If want to see fish use less or during hot summer season use a lot and let fish enjoy cooler water temperatures with darker water less algae and muck. This is for ppl who don’t have the time to constantly baby their pond water and during the hot weather temperatures. Remember with anything take it slow. Works like it supposed too.

On the front of the bottle, it clearly says treats 4 acres but reading the instructions it says use 1 to 2 quarts per acre. My pond is a little shy of 1 acre and it did not change the color of half of it.

Bought this in Amazon NL post the reviews as well as YouTube videos. Was bugged with the algee in dutch summer. The concentracte is really really concentrated, i used ~ 100 ml for my 9000 l pond and it turned fully blue in less than a day. Will it keep the sun out and avoid the algee bloom, have to wait and watch. Def, 5 stars for now, although its a but pricey, but I could use it for the next 5-6 years. 08/07 - Added some pics...
