I was in the market for a new set of knives because my old set, a long ago gift from my parents, was serrated. I have also had some "fancier" knives over time as well including a Victorinox chef's knife and a Shun santoku knife. So when I started looking to replace my knife set, I started looking at various different brands. My main goal was to find a balance between the quality of the knives and the cost, as in many cases, knives can get expensive pretty quickly. I also knew that I didn't really need the steak knives that often come with these sets because we hardly entertain, which means not a significant need for steak knives. When I saw these, I thought "This can't be for real for this price..." The knives work well, offering all the sizes and types I need for basic cooking. They are balanced fairly well, and while I could see some people not liking the plastic handles rather than wood, it doesn't really bother me. They are comfortable both in my grip and also in my wife's, who has smaller hand than I do. We find them easy to work with, from meats to fruits and veggies. They feel pretty solid, and appear to be full tang knives (all one piece of metal down through the handle, not welded together). I am pretty confident they will hold up for years with regular care, all at a price that is at or below many other introductory sets of knives. I would recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a good balance between quality and cost, who needs a good set of knives to get them going in the kitchen and be functional, without breaking the bank.

This is one of the best knife sets you can buy on a budget. Love using the paring knife, the bread knife, the santoku and the chef's knife. The blades are sharp and the block sits pretty on the counter. I used to hate food prep but thanks to this and a heavy duty wooden chopping board, I have started enjoying the process so so much. Awesome product. Delivery was on time and the knives were packaged very safely though maybe not that securely. I have been using this for about a month and the knives are good quality. Very sharp and a joy to use given you take good care of them. The knife block is heavy with rubber grips to prevent it from sliding. No chance of this toppling over and making sushi of your feet :) They are quite heavy than normal chef's knives so takes some getting used to. Makes short work of almost anything. After a month, I have started using the honing steel on a few knives that I use daily. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good knife set.

Well frankly I didn't expected this product like this, I must say the picture could be more accurate, this is an awesome product, the knives heavy and sharp, it's well balanced and the perfectly curved, these are actually professional knives set at amateur price. Love this product.

This is a great set, knives, sharpener and wooden holder. The knives are of good quality in SS with wooden handles, and in all the needed sizes for use in any kitchen. The wooden base is heavy, strong and stable, making this a safe and handy set. It is also very good looking and presentable.

Coming to the product itself , I have used it for about an year by now , and yes the knife set is pretty good specially the chef's knife and honing rod( it's very handy to have around), there were time where it was subjected to a rough handling session, but the knifes were sturdy including the box there was no damage . Getting into more detail , I can tell it was heat tempered on the Rockwell scale around 58 or less , the steel is soft and tough , so the edge retention is little low u will have to use honing rod before every cooking session , and put it on grit every month or so . And the knife can get pretty sharp ( depending on the user ) .
