Good value, good quality, and easy to use.
I received this just in time for the beginning of our fall harvests. The first thing I noticed was the weight- it’s heavy, in a good way, as it feels much more solid than my old Food Saver. It seems very well made, with a great roll holder and cutter incorporated into the machine. While the buttons are fairly intuitive, I did read the included instruction manual to explain “pulse” and “gentle”, new to me. I first tried a simple “dry” and ‘vacuum and seal’ on normal. I was packaging dehydrated zucchini slices, and found that it worked great, but since the food was so dry, it made a bit of a crunching sound. So I used the ‘pulse’ and ‘seal’, following the instructions, and it was perfect. I love that feature the best, as you can decide how much to vacuum before sealing. For sun dried tomatoes, the regular setting worked great and I think that will be the setting I use most often, except for very wet and liquidy foods. The ‘moist’ and ‘liquid’ settings are great, although I only tried them each once. The ‘liquid’ setting would be suitable for foods for sous vide for sure, and the gentle vacuum setting means the force of the vacuum would be less on foods with liquid. The time to vacuum and seal was amazingly quick, and it has settings to make it take longer to seal, or shorter, but I found it was perfect with the default. The options are something I’ve never had before in a vacuum sealer, and I think the versatility is better than others I’ve used in the past.I really like the size of this machine- solid and big enough to be able to use any size bag, but not taking up more room in the cabinet than the old Food Saver I had. The seal it makes is thick and firmly secure. The included bag roll is a nice bonus- good quality and perfect fit inside. It comes with the attachments for canisters but I’ve never used those in the past, and don’t anticipate every using it, but it looked well made as well when I unboxed everything. Extra seals are included as well.I plan on using this for packaging our harvested venison for the freezer, as well as other meat too.I was concerned about the price vs cheaper models, but I’ve had cheaper ones in the past and it’s true you get what you pay for. Overall, I’d give this vacuum sealer an A on quality for the price as well as the vacuum sealer itself. Sturdy, well made, quick, fairly quiet (it does make some noise as do other vacuum sealers), and dependable on the vacuum seals it created make this a good buy and I’m very happy with this. I would recommend it.

Great product and customer service
The product is an incredible value. I found out about the brand from r/sousvide after my Anova broke repeatedly and their cs team was not helpful at all. I have had one of their sous vide for years without issue. Eventually my Anova vacuum sealer with 1/4 the features and 2x the price broke so I go this vacuum sealer. Well, a little while into it, the sealing capability became unreliable. I reached out to their support and they kindly replaced it pretty easily. Great products, value and if it’s anything like the sous vide, I expect it to last for years without issue. Easy to use but a bit bulky!

Great Value and Powerful
So I was thoroughly impressed when this arrived. It was packaged securely in a box that could double as a storage container and the handle would make it easy to transport. Unboxing it was like most things manual, power cord, roll of bags, a gasket, and some smaller things. I put it right to work out of the box. Most of the items were not frozen as some other brands might ask you to do before sealing and I ran it continuous instead of the waiting 20 seconds between sealing like another name brand would suggest. The seals had no problem as I checked each one for leakage. In total I sealed 10 lbs of hamburger meat, 3 lbs of a wet chicken marinade wings, 1 lb of turkey sausage, and 2 large roasts cut down to a portion for the house hold. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking the best bang for their buck. Goodbye Foodsaver hello InkBird!!!!!!!

Amazing! A true workhorse
We love this vacuum sealer! We recently used this past weekend in processing for pigs and simultaneously used a newly purchased Food Saver vacuum sealer to compare. This unit was highly preferred and had a lot of features we really appreciated, just a couple of things we wish could be tweaked and that would create a seriously amazing machine.Best features:- Handle for easy lifting and closing. Much preferred over locking buttons or lever mechanisms that most other brands have. They saved our thumbs and the weight of the top of the machine made it a breeze to use for the long time span we had used it for.- Storage for one roll and included magnet latch for cutting bags. No more needing to use scissors or a paper cutter! This was one of the best improvements from the previous sealer we used.- Large tray for collection of liquid while sealing. Compared to the food saver we used, the tray for collection was incredibly larger and even though we weren’t doing food that was wet or had much liquid come out, it would’ve been much easier to clean had that been the case.- This was a workhorse: we used it for about 13 hours without a whole lot of long breaks. The day prior to our processing, I also had to create about 300 bags and it had no issues in doing that amount of work.Areas for improvement:- Downward sloping section for vacuum seal area. The only upside of the Food Saver that we used was that it had a downward sloped section at the front of the machine which allowed ease of use in positioning the bag and keeping into position while the unit was closed. This unit is simply flat and raised a few inches from the counter which required some finesse while positioning the opening of the bag in order to make sure it would seal appropriately. This was not a make or break problem but for the number of times that we sealed food, it was just slightly cumbersome.Keep in mind, this does have a little bit bigger footprint than other models but is not at all heavy for the size. my brother-in-law literally could not stop talking about how much he loved this unit and has used several in the past. If you are a homesteader or process large amounts of meat or produce on a regular basis, this is an awesome unit to start out with and I think the bang for your buck is incredible. Quit reading reviews and just buy it already ;)

Buyer beware!!
I don’t know if I just got a dud or what. This sealer does not vacuum very well. I owned an Foodsaver before it finally gave out, and it always created a tight air-free seal. I bought the Inkbird because of price and Amazon made it their overall pick. All of my bags that I vacuumed and sealed or loose which means there is air in the bag. I even bought inkbird bags which made no difference. And it only has a 1 year warranty versus other brands which have a 5 year warranty. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I didn’t use it until lately, and I missed the warranty cut-off. TERRIBLE SEALER!!!

Simple to use, seems well built.
Got this a few days ago as a deal with Inkbird. I've been on the fence about a vacuum sealer for a while, but I like Inkbird products so I thought to give it a try.The machine is very simple to use and seems solid enough. Since this is my first sealer, I would have liked the instructions to be a bit clearer. I had to read them over a couple times and study the machine a bit to understand how to work with it, particularly in regard to custom sized bags. But once I understood it, use was a breeze. I really like the built in custom size bag cutting tool (see pic). And the top controls are self explanatory once you understand how the machine worksNot sure how this machine compares to others since it is my first one, but my first few seals were easy and seemed to seal well so I think this one will suit my needs well.

High Quality, Fast, Compact, Easy to Use
I posted a video of unboxing the vacuum sealer so you can see everything you get with it. I got this so I could vacuum seal smoked salmon and other meats before freezing to extend the storage life.Right away I noticed the high quality of the vacuum sealer. It’s a solid, heavy duty machine. The instructions were pretty basic (like only 4 steps). But it turns out that it is so easy to use there really wasn’t a need for more instructions. The first item I tried was a piece of salmon. The machine has a nice cutter built into it to cut the bag to the right size. Sealing the end of the bag took less than 10 seconds!! Then I dropped a piece of salmon in and the rest of the vacuum and seal took about 20 seconds. The unit has a nice countdown clock, so you know exactly how long it will take.Using this machine was simple. There was no assembly or setup; I literally took it out of the box and sealed my first piece of food in a few minutes. The thing I like is that the unit is compact and will be easy to store when not in use.It also came with an accessory hose attachment that will connect to a wine bottle top I guess. Pretty cool. I’ll have to look into the wine stoppers that go into this accessory.

Efficient, space saving, reliable
I've owned 2 or 3 other vacuum sealer machines in the past; this one far exceeds the others. I find that some machines are often finicky about positioning of the unsealed ends, or how much empty space there is in the bag - but this Inkbird gets the job done without issue on the first try.I LOVE that there is space inside of the machine to hold your roll, and the cutter is right there to trim your bags to the right size - so space efficient! It's really light so it's great to pack away when I'm not using it and easily pull it out when I need to pack up leftovers or prep for sous vide.It handles both wet and dry ingredients and is so easy to clean. Seems well made and I anticipate it'll last a long time. Overall, very happy with purchase!
