I got these hoping for the best. The original cushions started falling apart in no time. These are slightly thicker, have a better opening (to go over my large ears) and feel like better quality than the originals. They are hard to put on, but the design is intended to be that way (so when they get on, they are not loose - just like the originals). You have to use the "slot" and part the the sleeve that fits over the headset is longer than the other. You need to put the longest part in the slot. It also helps to use some plastic hooks to get the last portion over the lip (I have some with a laptop/phone repair tool kit). You don't have room to use your fingers to grab the lip and pull it over, you really need a small plastic tool with a hook that is 1/4 wide or wider to "pull it over". An example of the "hook tools" I am referring to is in the "blue plastic hooks" in the "iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit". These "hook tools" made all the difference in getting them on.

I had the same problems with the flaking and peeling that others have had with my Sony headphones. These fit perfectly!I was almost ready to buy new headphones when I discovered these!They are comfy and they gave my headphones a new life!!A little hard to get on but worth the effort for great results. I would definitely buy these again when needed!👍🏻😊

I bought these earpads to fix up some MDR-RF985R's that i inherited from a person who used them a lot (and left them kind of gross).  From what i can tell from what's left of the original earpads, the fabric on these new ones is similar in both look and feel; i like the fact that it's soft against my skin, and i never feel like it's sticking to me, as one might anticipate with any pleather-like material.  I selected this model primarily because of the piece of fabric that covers the "hole" in the center of the pad; as mentioned above, the headphones were a little gross when i got them, and i was grateful to have a barrier -- even a thin one -- between me and that piece of foam that's glued to the speaker area and therefore can't be cleaned well without damaging the electronics.  I found the difficulty level of putting the pads onto the headphones to be "just right:" if it's too easy to put them on, then you need to worry about it being too easy for them to fall off.  I have no such worries.I had a brief exchange with the seller (over a matter too complicated and insufficiently universal to explain) and was very pleased with the way in which the issue was handled.

Read the simple directions people. They took me maybe three minutes to put on. Just hook the material to the starting point, hold the material and go in a circular motion. They self feed onto the entire ear pad. Then turn them to the spot you are most comfortable with.Thicker part should be towards the back of your head. They are comfy, hopefully will last several years. I recommend these and the price is right!

Easy to install if you follow the instructions that come with it. Fits perfectly on my Sony head phones. Happy with the purchase!

Ordered wrong size. Returned by very easy Amazon new system. Please be aware of exact model number of your headphones. The quality of the original covers was not good after failure after less than two years.Dissapponting from Sony.Now trying again !
