My toddler son loves animals, he is 2.5 and loves Schleich figures! They can be a bit more expensive than others but the paint quality is very good and they have a bit more heft to them so they feel better in the hand (a bit heavier). This is good as long as your kid is not a thrower, so far my kid does not throw these. He’s in the midst of potty training and we use a sticker chart and give him a new animal every time he fills up his sticker chart, so they work well as reward toys. Would also be great as a birthday gift for a kid that likes animals! The flamingo’s beak is a little sharp, I would recommend only giving these to a child who no longer puts toys in his mouth, also because the frog’s legs are small.

These are really great! No funny smells. Great quality. I can’t wait to surprise our little one with these toys

These are very high quality and my grandson loves them. We ask Alexa to make the sound of each animal. Then we look up different pictures of the animal.

Schleich makes nice stuff, and these animals are no different. Solid, nicely detailed, well-painted, etc. The variety is kind of random, but is fun to hand out to kids as a "treat" now and then. My daughter combines them all together in random play scenarios, or puts them in enclosures and pretends they're real animals. Of course, as is always the case with Schleich, the only issue is price. These are expensive! There are other options out there that are much cheaper. But... Schleich does seem to be a step up in quality, so it kinda' just depends on what you're looking for or how much that matters to you. Also, keep in mind these come in individual plastic bags, in a boring cardboard box - not a presentation that's ideal for gifting. Overall, though, recommended!
