I use this for meditating and just play random sounds which make me feel happy. Of course if you have roomies and/or neighbors. They might not like hearing it at 8pm at night. For me it's calming and relaxing for me. The drum comes with a carrying case but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd would recommend to get a smaller tongue drum since this one is a bit heavier and bigger in general. I beileve it's a good buy for peopleAlso the weave that's on the outside of the drum will come off easily and it's a bit tough to get it back on.Pro(s): Easy to use. Fun. Comes with drumsticks, finger pads. Comes with a musical booklet.Con(s): Too big for travel, imo

As a studio musician I was going to rate as 4 due too the carry bag is a little tight; could do better knowing that this can set you out of tune. But Overall I have to give a 5 star in fairness of a nicely tuned Tongue Drum for a great price for anyone.I have been playing other high-end Tongue Drums for the past four years; I must say that for the price, I am very impressed in the recording quality it has without having to worry about noise reduction. Great tone and bright sound for the price. Thank you Lidguni for a job well done. Will be looking for another Tongue Drum in A minor

I never write reviews, but this arrived today, and I had to write. I pulled it out of the box (I bought the green one - very pretty!) and immediately started playing. While I cannot read music, I can read numbers, and this is fun and easy. The sound is melodic, deep and not at all tinny. The drum is portable, so you can play it anywhere. I purchased this for myself, but I know my grandchildren will want one, too!The drum included an instruction booklet with simple songs and Christmas songs. I also purchased (from Amazon) a Tongue Drum Music Book - 50 Oldie Hits 70s/80s/90s (play by numbers). I am 59 and know all of the song titles.You will not regret buying this fun and attractive drum. For $60, it's definitely a great purchase.

I gave this to my Granddaughter for her 23rd birthday. She has a degree in Music Production and is excited to use it in her work!!

The drum is of good quality and sounds nice, but being G major is a challenge because most song books are in C. I'm still trying to figure out how to hit the right last note to "Amazing Grace."

Great for me, very beginner friendly. I removed the skirt thing though.

All and all this drum is good but I don’t know if it’s supposed to not have a plug at the bottom it’s seems sharp and this is for my son. His last drum had a plug.

Beautiful scale and tuning, but I would really like to know what type of scale this is. It's NOT G Major, but is more like a C# Major Pentatonic. However, a true C# Pentatonic uses an E note instead of the F. It doesn't sound "off", but gives a mystical sound. Anyway order of notes you play is always pleasing!
