Super easy and convenient to use
I've had this about 2 months now and I'm really happy with it so far! So far, I've been able to grow basil, oregano, cilantro with no problems. The system is really easy to use and the app is nice to have because it let's you keep track of your garden and what you have planted. It's also super quiet and I barely hear it running. I only know it's on and working because the lights are super bright so I have the garden tucked away in a corner where the light won't bother anyone. But the system also has an auto on/off feature so you literally don't have to do anything other than keep an eye on the water level to see if it needs more. Overall I'm really happy with this garden so far and can't wait to grow more herbs with it!

Recommended I love them
I have purchased 3 of these in the past two weeks. I am new to this and still learning. I wanted to purchase a larger one like Gardyn or Rise Garden but I did not want to pay the prices or for the memberships. A lot of them got pricey very quickly and the membership cost is ridiculous. So I stuck with this company for that reason and I am happy so far. Pros: Size is fine for what I am using it for. Pump seems to be good Water flow seems to be good. Appearance is over all fine just wish they offered more color choices. Plant health so far so good Function so far so good. Does not make any noise turning off or on unless you have it set up that way. Easy to put together Use pitcher with plant food is way easier We do not have a huge house. So I purchased a cart from Menards and placed the units on it. Cart will make it easier to move from the living area to the sunporch when it gets warmer outside. Price for this project was around $250. That includes seeds, extra kit with sponges, holders, stickers etc, cart, 3 LetPot units which is way cheaper than the Gardyn or Rise Gardens. This way I can plant what I want rather than buying pods and spending more money. Cons The app has its moments. I purchased this 1st unit and received my next two units yesterday. I wanted to just add plants on the app within same unit and take a few off and it made me just delete the whole thing and start over. That was frustrating. I did learn once you start another unit on the app trust me delete the old one and start from the beginning way easier. App I don’t like how it doesn’t list more herbs, vegs, fruits etc. you have to add them manually and it sucks. So get google ready you will need it. Over all I love them. Basically it’s easy to use. I like the sponges rather than dirt or clay in my opinion there is no mess. I highly recommend this product Amazon delivery on the hand was horrible. I received a big box with other two units yesterday. Delivery guy puts box on the ground and then kicks the box into the window well. I caught it on security camera. Which broke one of the units all together. I contacted Amazon after opening the unit that was broke and they are sending a replacement. Should be here today we will see.

Love this thing!!!
I had been wanting to pull the trigger on a hydroponics system for growing herbs and other basic veggies, but there were so many options, I hesitated. When I started to see different options on sale this fall, I finally grabbed the LetPot after reading some great reviews. The product comes packaged well and other than needing seeds, I had everything I needed to start my indoor herb garden. Setup was simple (maybe five minutes) I followed the directions exactly, had everything running and the seeds planted in less than half an hour. The app is VERY easy and allows you to add what seeds or plants you're growing to each spot in the LetPot. There is a chart that shows what to expect when it comes to days the seeds are germinating to when you should expect plant growth. Each spot comes with a small plastic dome to encourage germination and keep the environment damp. The lights put off just a bit of warmth so don't be afraid to keep this one in a cooler spot, but just make sure it's not too cold. Within just a few days I had some germination and after a couple of weeks, I'm starting to see the leaves appear on several of the plants. There's a living basil plant that I transplanted into the system after struggling to keep these plants for very long after buying them in the grocery store. As you can see in the photo, that plant is THRIVING! As soon as this first run of plants is available to use, I'm planning to add a second LetPot to the kitchen and maybe have some tomatoes and other veggies growing alongside my herbs. There are detailed notes available about different plants, veggies and herbs along with a spot where you can add notes about the progress of your garden. This is truly a "set it and forget it" item we've added to our kitchen. The basil plant that I transplanted is looking great, sprouting new growth and it's packed with flavor due to the nutrients that came with the LetPot fertilizer. You can just touch the leaves and the basil oils are on your fingers, which tells me the plant is doing very well. I really can't say enough about how awesome this thing has been so far and I'm sure hoping someone reads my review and decides to jump in just like I did because this was so easy!

Easy and Convenient
It came well packaged and secure. I was afraid that this was not going to be the same as their website, but it is exactly like their website. I first started with basil (a forgiving herb) and it was a huge success. I did not have to worry about watering the plants the entire time. I am now trying strawberries (which take a long time to germinate and grow). Pros: You can use the app to control the timing of the light, keep track of what you are growing, water levels and more. The installation was quick and easy to follow. The different types of plants/herbs that you could grow on your own without having to go outside. You can grow year-round and not have to go outside for them. It's quiet when running. Cons: the light is a little bright for the flower mode.

Great garden so far but inaccurate listing
Well to get the biggest con out of the way: I bought this because the listing showed that the max light-to-grow-deck height was 17”, which is taller than other similar listings. Sadly this is not true. 17” is actually the max height of the entire unit (from the bottom to the top of light), and the actual height range of light from the grow deck is about 5.75”-12.5”. I was pretty bummed since the reason I picked this unit was to get that extra clearance. One other smaller con is that the port to add water through is very small and has a beam preventing you from being able to use a funnel. I’m hoping I can 3D print something, but I will probably just use an unused plant hole or take off the entire lid instead. With those out of the way, this is still a very nice unit. I like how the light pole adjusts, as I’ve seen the telescoping models having slippage over time. The wires are hidden well. The grow deck is simple and looks like it will be easy to clean. It came with covers for unused holes, as well as little trellising poles and name tags (which are comically large). I used my label maker instead, but I would rather write on the stickers than use the giant tags. Some people have expressed concern over the small trellis / tag holes allowing Light and algae growth, but I’m not sure how much of an issue those will be. At first I was a little annoyed I had to download an app, but it is actually very nice to be able to set the exact hours and timing of the light and control it from afar, whereas most similar price point models only have one or two set timings. This also helps get everything reset in the instance of a power outage. Being able to control the low vs high light is also a perk. You can also turn off the pump alarm if you wish. I will try to update as the plants grow. I know that I should NOT have used all 12 holes, but I was a bit too excited. Everything but my chives and cilantro have germinated, but those are known to be finicky and not related to the system since they don’t really need light to germinate. I am leaving the light on “low” until things have the chance to catch up to my dill by producing true leaves and then I will switch to high :)

Great for a Beginner!
Let's face it - hydroponics can be challenging to get used to. I did not want to start off with a large system so I chose this one based on space (small apartment), light height, and pod capacity. Unless you are just growing small herbs - be prepared to transfer your adult fruiting plants to a different system of leave some of the pods empty for room for growth. After two weeks here are my Pros and Cons: Pros 1. Space saver! Honestly this think is meant for a small area. And, if you are concerned about aesthetics, it looks really chic so it will not disrupt your space. 2. Grow light is strong and easily adjustable - and it can get tall! At least a few inches taller than other systems this size 3. Quiet - the aerating pump is very quiet and easy to clean. However- when your water is low it will definitely beep at you (good thing) 4. App was easy to download, free, and helps me monitor the system's pump and light settings. There is also an existing plant index which is nice to have handy - and you can label your garden pods in the app. 5. Power consumption - no breaker trips in this apartment hahaha! Some other systems use a lot of power. 6. Assembly was so simple and laid out well in the instructions - including how to germinate your seeds. Recommendation: Cover your empty slots with gold balls or put foil over a seed cap to block out light from the water to help with algae growth Cons 1. No pH adjusting solution. Fertilizer solutions traditionally have neutral to high pH. This is fine for seeds and germination, but most plants need a pH range between 5.5 - 6.5 to see healthy growth and harvest. I had to buy pH adjustment solution separately for my strawberry roots. 2. Only one plant label. Sure you can label the pods in the app, but some physical labels would be great. 3. No black out caps for empty pods to keep light out. Easy DIY fix with golf balls or foil, but other systems come with this feature. Overall Nice system for the price (minus some of the bells and whistles that other name brand systems offer....but for $500 + ). If your looking for a serious garden, make sure to get some systems with larger pods to give the plants the space they need. Hope this review helps - I'm less than two weeks in and have healthy looking sprouts for broccoli, parsley, basil, cilantro, and squash. Also have put in two strawberry root systems. Happy growing!

Perfect for counter top!
Great for growing anything you want, starter or just having some fresh greens inside. It is very easy to use, put your seeds in pod and set the light time and that's it. The internal pump and light stand seem to be very durable, as we have had it running for the past few months non-stop (our one tomato plant is huge haha, too cold out yet to move the tomato outside). Perfect neutral color that will go with most all decoration themes.

Great product!
Makes gardening so easy! Let’s you have fresh veggies at your finger tips. I’ve had it going for 32 days and my lettuce was ready for its first harvest last week! Sprouting was easy and fun to watch. 10/10 recommend! It’s light weight and doesn’t take up too much counter space. Only issue I have, if you accidentally put a little pressure down on the light the pole will strip and it won’t hold the light up higher than the lowest setting. That’s the only “issue” I’ve ran into! Otherwise it’s a great bang for your buck to have some fresh veggies year round!

Would Return if I could!!!
This is genuinely the worst product ive ever gotten off of Amazon, It came with a broken pump cover, the Wifi connection doesnt work with 5g and its only been a week and theres no growth and mold all around my pods (ive done the research and have used these systems before perfectly). I would 1000000% return if I was able but im still trying my best to salvage my plants and im mid science project....definitely getting a D- on this project.....just awful and disappointing

Know what you're getting into.
This is my second desktop style grow system. This one has a lot going for it First this unit does not come with any seeds so you're going to need to source your own. This is where doing your research and understanding what plants thrive in a system of this type is important. Not all plants are equal and different types of plants have different type of requirements. Herbs and mixed greens are the easiest to grow in the system. Flowering / fruiting plants require a bit more space and you're really looking at the dwarf determinate varieties. You probably shouldn't mix flowering plants and leafy greens in the same system as they have different nutrient requirements. However one could argue that your leafy greens will cycle through at least once before your fruiting plants even start to mature. This model has an app that connects via wifi, which brings "smart" features including scheduling. Further the unit does have is a quiet pump and 10 pods that you can potentially plant in, and a fairly powerful spectrum light. When powered on you select the mode that you want the machine to operate in. Modes have a preset light output based on the type of plant you selected. You can adjust this via the app as well. If not connected to wifi, this unit based midnight based on when the machine is powered on. With Wifi it has smart features including the schedule. This is important if there is a power outage as you want to use the app to ensure the schedule is retained. I would recommend pairing this device with both a UPS. There is a visual water indicator at the front of the unit, there is also a an audible alarm and app notification if the water level empties out. With this type of setup you'll need to monitor the water usage, check for root health, ensure the unit is neither too hot or too cold and the right humidity for your plants, and prune the roots / adjust the height of the light based off of the growing need. It's a great entry unit into desktop hydroponics. It's meant to be Hands-On and visited fairly regularly, and can survive going on vacation for a period of time. Great at this price point.

Pretty Good.
Packaged well and everything came in the kit! Easy to put together and start up. Gave 3 stars because of 2 cracks on the light lid where the plastic shield was screwed in maybe a bit too tight. It shouldn’t affect the use but still cracked. Overall, I’m happy with the product, we’ll see how it grows ;)
