FRANZ Invisible UV Sun Patches for Face, UPF 50+ Golf (Regular, 4 Pairs)

I like the product a lot. I live in Arizona, where the sun is very strong. I put it on my cheeks before I went for a run, and it was hard to tell I even had it on my face. It was also easy to remove without needing any soap or special cleansers. Highly recommended for outdoor activities!

I was really excited to try these patches for my melasma, but they were a complete disappointment. The patches wrinkle and bunch up as soon as they are applied, especially around the eye area where I need to place them most. Instead of laying flat against the skin, they create folds and creases, making them uncomfortable and ineffective. I followed the instructions and even tried applying my moisturizer and sunscreen afterward, as recommended by other users, but that only made the wrinkling worse. If you’re buying these to target melasma near the eyes, they may not work well because they don’t conform properly to the contours of the face. Unfortunately, I will be returning them.

Once you learn how to peel these apart and apply without them curling up into nothingness, you can cut them in half/quarters if need be, and they work well. Only kind that doesn’t irritate my skin.

I had to try these as I’m constantly reapplying sunscreen throughout the day. These patches are a great concept, they’re just hard to apply so that they’re not noticeable. I have trouble with the edges not crinkling up a little. With that said, I’m only wearing these when I’m exposed to the sun all day, so camping or hiking, and I’m not real concerned it the edge of my sun patch is slightly visible. It’s a super thin layer that stays on all day and does its job of protecting your skin from the sun. It is kind of tricky applying sunscreen around the patch to your exposed skin. Overall, it’s a great concept, and does its job of protecting the covered area from the sun, it’s just cumbersome applying them so they appear invisible and working in sunscreen around the patched area. I recommend them for high activity/ low maintenance / outside all day type of situations.

My first attempt: the patch peeled off the backing perfectly. Second time: had a very difficult time getting the patch off the backing and it ended up wrinkling and had to toss. Third attempt: made sure to really take my time and peel off slowly. Once on your face, it can make your face look like you have wrinkles but I do not mind as long as it protects my cheeks from the sun. Will continue using.

Complete waste of money. Stiff pieces of plastic that do not stick to your face. Hard edges poke your skin, not comfortable. Don't know if they actually work since they don't stay on your face.

These patches work really well and are super comfortable to wear. They're thin enough that I barely notice them on my skin. Great for days when I know I'll be outside for a long time. Would definitely purchase again.
