Love these fans
Put these fans on our porches and in our garage. One side of the blades look like old barn wood. Which is exactly the look we wanted. They put off a great breeze. They are small and simple, but, look great when use more than one in an area,

Easy to install outdoor fan
This is a basic fan with no light and comes with a remote controller. I bought this fan to replace a broken outdoor fan in my patio, and did not need the light. I was somewhat surprised at the small box that it came in, but the design of the fan allows for it to be packed more efficiently. The packing for the fan was well done and I received it with no damage at all. After unpacking the parts, I found the assembly to be very straightforward. I mounted the blades to the motor first, then started putting together the downrod assembly. This has to be done in a certain order or you will have to disassemble it again. Just remember to put the top and bottom endcaps on first, then thread the wires into the rod and pull them out at the top before securing the downrod to the motor. If you haven’t discovered lever wiring connectors yet, do yourself a favor and buy some. They are so much better and easier to use than the wire nuts that now I just throw the included nuts away now. After installing the ceiling bracket to the electrical box, the remote receiver simply wires in with 2 wires using the lever connectors and slides into the bracket. I really like that the remote receiver uses a wiring harness to connect the fan.To complete the installation, I lifted the assembled fan and hung the downrod ball to the ceiling bracket. After connecting the remote receiver with the quick connects to the fan, I tucked the wires into the electrical box. The ceiling cover slides to the top and twists in and is secured with screws. The remote is nice, but it really has too many buttons on it, especially since it has a light control and the fan does not have a light. There are 6 separate buttons for fan speeds, buttons to reverse the fan direction, and fan timers. The fan is well balanced and does not wobble at any of the speed settings, so I did not need to use the balancing kit.Overall, I think this is a very good ceiling fan, especially with its low price. The only thing I did not like about is are the holes at the top of the motor housing that bugs can crawl into. I used some mesh screen material and hot glued it over the holes to fix that. Since it is at the top of the housing, you can’t see it, and it should work to keep the bugs out while still providing some ventilation for the motor. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to install outdoor ceiling fan. The fan looks much more expensive that the asking price, works reasonably well, and comes with a remote controller.

defective bottom cover on ceiling fan
I bought 2 of these ceiling fans with NO lights, and they both worked great, the only problem, one of the ceiling fans the bottom cover was defective( it just kept turning and not screwing in) , and no one at Amazon was able to assist me with only sending me the bottom cover for one ceiling fan. So beware, if something as small as a cover is defective, and you have already totally installed the ceiling fan you will have to uninstall it and send it back for a refund, they cannot just send you the defective cover.
