My daughter is 7 and has a diagnosis of ASD. She also struggles to talk sometimes and has selective mutism, she finds being around people difficult too most of the time. She has had a dummy since birth, and it is still one of her comforts (several teams have said as it isn’t causing her ill health she can give it up in her own time). I ordered these on a bit of a whim. She enjoys chewing on packets (crisps etc) and will chew on things more if she’s nervous or anxious. She loved this from the second I gave it to her. She said it didn’t smell and it didn’t taste funny, so this was fab. Size wise she can nibble it or she can nom it properly depending on what she needs, it’s never going to get stuck in her mouth. It is really good quality, I thought it would be a bit flimsy but happy to say it’s thick enough to deal with even her stresses. It comes with a lanyard, she uses this during the day. She wanted to take it to bed so I told her to attach the lanyard to her snuggle toy so it isn’t a strangulation hazard, and this is perfect for her. The biggest thing though? The last two nights she has had NO dummy in bed and only this. I never thought I would see the day, but she didn’t ask for it once and was perfectly happy to have it for sleep! Brought for my son after looking and deciding together, this looked the safest and the best quality and has a nice shape, everything we were looking for. My son chews his tops due to sensory issues, this has really helped. And i didnt realise the price was for 2, 2 chewys and 2 neck straps. The neck straps are quick release but they arnt flimsy so they dont just fall off, holds for my son all day at school, my son also likes to chew/lick the neck strap, have had no issues just positives - reccomend

The product looks strong and my daughter seems to like it also. I got this to stop her from chewing on her hair and so far it's working.

Having gone though just about every chewy available, I went with these to try and they've been brilliant for my son. He gets a lot of sensory feedback from them, uses them all day in school, and they've lasted much longer than all the others we've tried. Highly recommend.

Great quality good strong disc and strong neck tie with safty release great value and excellent for purpose.

Not as satisfying to gnaw on as the person-shaped ones, according to my very chewy 5 year old, but they seem good quality and will do for extras as we always seem to be looking for the one we have.

Bought these for my 10 year old son as he is Autistic and one of his sensory needs is to chew on non food items (pica). These looked to be sturdy and be much safer than bottle caps and straws, etc. So far they have been amazing. We bought this disc shape and the blue one that looks like a stick man and he loves them. They are sturdy enough to be solid while providing him with the chew sensation he needs to regulate. He does tend to drool a bit with this disc one as he cant close this mouth around it but he doesn't seem to mind. It coming as a 2 pack is ideal as he has one in use and I have one saved for if it breaks or gets lost so he won't have to wait while I order more. Will stick with chewbuddy from now on as other brands have not withstood his chewing.
