Difficult to use
I reread the instructions several times and still was not able to adjust the volume. Also the controls to turn on the radio are on the back of the unit which makes them difficult to access.

static
I listen to am radio. there is so much static I can't hear the station. The only time I can is if it isn't plugged in to an outlet. guess I have a clock instead of a radio

Good alarm clock and customer support
This review is for:I·CODE Alarm Clock Radio, Digital AM/FM Clock Radio with Auto-on Timer, Dual Alarm, Auto Night-Mode,4.72” Large Display with Battery Backup, Simple Alarm Clock with Big Button,Easy to SetI initially gave this clock a less-than-5-star rating as I found certain aspects of programming not discernible in the manual nor intuitive. Since then, the seller has contacted me with helpful information that I will add here:=========================Hello. Thank you for your feedback. In response to the issue you mentioned:1. please set the date when you have just plugged in the charger, please note that the date will not be displayed on the alarm clock screen, it is just to recognize weekdays and weekends.2.Radio mode can be used as an alarm clock, please set a specific time under the timer on radio function, the radio will go off on time.If you have any issues with the clock, please feel free to contact us.==========================Updated perspective:- The radio can be used as an alarm.- The date can be set for weekday/7 day alarm but the date doesn't show- Excellent customer supportThese address the main concerns highlighted in my original review. While I still won't say it's the easiest-to-set radio alarm clock that I've ever owned, between the functionality and the customer support, it's a clock worth trying. Recommended -- and 5 stars -- accordingly.Original review:==========================I find reference to "Easy to Set" somewhat amusing. I felt it was anything but. I couldn't figure out how to set the date; with an alarm for every day or just weekday, I don't know how that's going to work if the clock doesn't know what day it is. Otherwise:- The buttons are not intuitive- Don't press the alarm buttons without reading the manual. The noise is annoying.- Keep the manual handy as you'll need it if you ever have to re-progam the clock- Radio is not an option for the alarmPluses:- It came with 3 AAA batteries for back-up in the event power failures- It's lightweight- It has an AM/FM radio that works- The time display is clear- Temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit- Radio stations can be searched/ saved... but I'm likely to keep it to one station on AM and another on FMOverall, I find this one of the less intuitive clock/radios I have encountered. Read the other reviews to determine a consensus opinion and shortlist accordingly. Recommended with reservations.============================REVISED RATING5 stars. Worth shortlisting. Recommended accordingly.

Basic bedroom clock radio with weak sound
This is a very basic clock radio with plug in power and backup battery support (batteries included). The digital display of the numbers is large enough that I can read it bedside without my eye glasses on (hence my need for larger numbers). It also displays the room temperature which seems somewhat accurate (about 1 degree different than what my thermostat is showing). Has 2 alarm settings and is loud enough to wake up the deepest of sleepers. Snooze button is large and in the top middle of the clock and easy to reach. I didn’t find the auto sensing light to work when I turned on/off my room lights. You can manually adjust the light intensity using the +/- buttons. The radio sound quality is horrible, so don’t even bother trying to listen to music or radio with this clock.

Appealing design. Decent sound. No radio alarm.
Now that most people use their cell phones to wake them up, dedicated alarm clocks seem almost quaint -- maybe not a relic of times past yet but quickly getting there. What does keep this one looking somewhat of its time, are the compact streamlined design and the large digital display. Both contribute to give the device an appealing, contemporary look. Functionally, this radio/alarm clock works well. It features only one speaker, so don't expect high-end audio, but the sound is clear and can get fairly loud without any distortion. The display (white only on this version) is sharp and legible with 5 brightness levels. The radio performed adequately and I was able to get about 15 FM stations through the automatic scanning. The clock also displays the ambient temperature and is supposed to also show the date but I could not find a way to set it. The manual is rather confusing about the latter. It says press any button then use the + and - button but that will only adjust the brightness of the display. I tried different combinations of short and long presses but none gave me access to a date setup. So we will just have to assume that this feature is non -existant.You can set two alarms and get to choose from a few chimes. My biggest gripe though is that you cannot set the radio as an alarm which is very odd given that's a feature that's existed on radio/alarms for a long time and one that I appreciated on my 15-year old Sony iPod/radio clock. That issue may be a deal-breaker for some users. If it's not for you then this is an attractive alarm clock that manages to look contemporary despite the almost outdated use of the device. Unfortunately, the cost is not available on the product page at the moment, but it would be a fair value around $20.

A cool easily customized clock radio.
Adjustable brightness and clear visibility of the LCD panel is excellent for a small portable clock. This low-cost technology is put to good use. The display is a key feature. It is nice to own a (modernized) traditional AM/FM clock radio again. Good radio? I think fine for what it is — much depends on reception strength and the antennae is far better than a wire, so that's good. For alarms, it also provides 6 ringtones. The build quality feels light, and it is only 6.5 ounces, but I am talking about molded plastic with not much metal involved in manufacture; although not complaining, not for the price. It all works.Uses a DC 5V/1A (5W) barrel plug from a little wall adapter, backed by 3x AAA conventional batteries (included), but I would prefer a simple USB-C port instead (as input power source). I get the reasons for a dedicated power supply (safety & cost), it just requires an available AC wall outlet when USB is superior for convenience.

The brightness Is difficult.
Initially I liked the footprint and the look of this alarm clock. It's not the easiest however to program. Setting the time and the alarm Is fine but everything else Is Impossible. As an example I had set the display to the appropriate brightness only to have It go to full brightness at about 6 minutes after going to bed. I ended up just turning It facedown and going to sleep. Then having It blind me when I tried stopping the alarm at the time I set It. And getting the date set Is another Impossible task. And then this also won't stay on when It's not plugged In the charger I think I got a faulty battery. This clocks not a fail but setting It up Is not straight forward.
