Use with 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Worked to stop chattering in the front differential. I purchased a used 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee that chattered badly when turning in my test drive. It sounded like huge knobby tires rubbing on the undercarriage. The dealer put it on a rack so I could do a thorough inspection and I couldn’t find anything wrong. But it did appear the oil had been changed in the engine and differential. The price was really low because of the noise so I bought it. First job was changing all the fluids. I got this bottle of friction modifier on the presumption the used car dealer service guy didn’t know or think about it. After refilling the front differential along with this modifier, it -did- take a few drives (maybe 10-15 miles) and the rubbing sound was gone. It’s now been a couple months and it’s working fine. I have come to rely on the manufacturers friction modifier in all my vehicles if it’s called for. Don’t bother with third party offerings, get the real deal and avoid doing the job twice.

Works like it should. Definitely necessary.
Rebuild the limited slip rear end in my Dakota. Had a shudder type noise taking off under load especially while turning. Couldn’t figure it out. Double checked the gear setup. Changed the oils again. Changed bearings. Realized I needed this stuff with my oil so I changed the oil one last time and added this. Fixed my issue. Crazy.

JUST POUR IT IN AND IT WORKS
This is the Mopar 4 oz. recommended limited slip additive to be added to the factory recommended weight differential gear oil during differential fluid changes. In my case it is 75w-140..... You "Just pour it in and it works". Works that is to keep your limited slip clutches from chattering OR grabbing when they are suppose to slip such as turning a corner. If you have no slip additive or not enough you may hear a popping noise when you turn a corner. That popping noise is the clutches breaking free from contact so the tires can rotate at different speeds during cornering. The. Limited slip additive allows the clutches to slip more easily when they are suppose to slip, such as cornering without grabbing or chattering, or making loud popping noises, etc 4 oz. Should be all you need but the recommended amount on the bottle says a 2 to 5 % ratio. I installed a MagHytec differential cover that added 24 more oz. of fluid above factory but i didnt add any extra limited slip additive due to the fact i was in the 2 to 5% range near the high end at 4 % ratio. With the MagHytec differential cover my differential gear oil capacity is now at 100 oz. With 4 oz.of that being Mopar limited slip additive so i am right at 4% ratio of additive to gear oil. The factory stock differential cover capacity gear oil is 72 oz or 4.5 pints which is slightly above the recommended 5% ratio so to me It seems to be no spot on calculation worry here as long as you are near the 4 to 5% ratio. I would say the 4 oz.added to the stock or aftermarket cover and you should be good to go. I have no chatter from the 4 oz. and 4% ratio and even if i would need more limited slip additive it would only be 1 oz more to be at the 5% max. Too much limited slip additive is not good either. I did read some info on some aftermarket limited slip additives and most said the same a minimum 1.33 oz. to a max of 1.66 ounce of limited slip additive per 32 oz. Of gear oil so stock and aftermarket seem to all be in close agreement here on the 4 to 5 % ratio of limited slip additive to gear oil. I poured the whole 4 oz.of limited slip additive In before i poured in the gear oil and poured in the gear oil until the fluid just starts flowing out of the level / fill plug. Drive the truck and its all mixed or mix it with your gear oil before adding it to the differential. The directions say to shake the contents well before opening.

It is a mgic potion!
It is magic potion! This thing works! I had done a rear cradle lockout on my Challenger and after that the rear differential started groaning when turning tight . I changed the differntial fluid with Royal Purple which already comes with additives and it still groaned. So i added this Mopar Limited slip additive and after 30 miles the differntial groaning boise went away! I couldn’t beleive it . This is coming from a mechanic!

Good for noisy diff issues
I picked this up for my gym’s old pickup that we use to haul plates and sleds around. The rear diff was whining bad. Poured this in with fresh gear oil and by the next week’s supply run the noise was way down. I’m glad it’s real Mopar stufff since i don’t want that truck dying.

I only use what the manufacturer says to use. Mopar said use this, so I used it.
Just what the Dana 60 in my Ram needed.
