Would buy again
It's the first time I've tried this product and I wasn't disappointed. It's makes the most delicious, smooth hot chocolate, it does say to use 8 heaped teaspoons, I found 5/6 teaspoons enough. I've yet to use this in baking, also good to sprinkle on ice-cream for that chocolate hit.

Rather too sweet
Looking for a decent real chocolate hot chocolate, I thought this would be a great choice. It is delicious and the consistency is perfect. However, at 50 g of sugar per 100 g of product it's rather too sweet to be more than a very occasional treat. It was disappointing that nowhere on the page could I see the nutritional information before I bought it. It is also a little bit misleading to say in the description that they use 'less sugar' in their recipe. Personally I'm after half what they're using if at all possible. I am open to buying the 70% cocoa content but I really would want to know what I'm buying beforehand to avoid excess sugar so the description really just has to be improved.

Very tasty
Tastes great and I use it with my hotel chocolate velvetiser and they melt well and it’s very good quality. Also they’re cheaper than the 1st party hotel chocolate ones.

Delicious
You know what.... having searched up and down Amazon for some proper hot chocolate that could use in machine, I'm glad I always obsess over reviews.. paid off. Utterly delicious, I'd only advise others to use one less spoonful than directed, so not as heavy. Compare to machines hotel chocolat own available chocolate that you can buy this was slightly cheaper, so I would buy again, would need to see if other flavours were available too.

Rich, velvety, and for true dark chocolate lovers - but there are cocoa beans bits inside
Edit: although I still love the taste I can’t help but notice some hard bits (that I previously thought was bits that didn’t melt) seemingly like some sort of shells? Since it wouldn’t melt away or neither feel like they can be eaten, so I have to strain it away all the time - which I assume could be part of cocoa beans? Some people might be bothered by this hence I’m now only giving a 4 stars instead of previously 5 The Harris & James Drinking Hot Chocolate isn’t your typical supermarket cocoa — and that’s exactly why I love it. It has a deep, velvety richness with a hint of bitterness and acidity that reminds me of a 100% pure dark chocolate piece I once tried (which was too bitter on its own). This, however, strikes a perfect balance — still bold and grown-up, but smooth and drinkable. It’s not overly sweet, which might not suit everyone if you’re used to sugary hot chocolate powders. But if you’re after something closer to real chocolate flavour, this is one of the best I’ve tried. A bonus: it’s also soy- and milk-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. It’s more of a chocolate crumbs so it’s easy to melt.

Lovely Chocolate
This is proper chocolate, not too sweet, and makes a lovely hot chocolate drink. Also very nice sprinkled over porridge. Other reviews have mentioned a vinegar smell, this doesn’t affect the taste, and is probably as this chocolate is pure, with very little added to it.

It was difficult to dissovle in a our chocolate maker
The flavour was nice, but it didnt dissolve in our large dualit chocolate maker amd it was very thin. So we reverted back to our original dualit sachets.
