This microscope photo pendant would make a great gift for a teacher, scientist, biologist or botanist. A thin section was cut by hand through a Nicotaiana benthamiana (ornamental tobacco) stem and stained with Toluidine Blue. Viewed by brightfield microscopy, the cell walls stain a vibrant blue due to their chemical composition.. These colourful and interesting microscope photo pendants are 22mm in diameter and measure 34mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. The pendants are silver plated and supplied with an 18 inch (45cm) silver plated chain. The image has been printed onto glossy metal which is sealed underneath a glass magnifying dome which means there are reflections from both the metal and the glass resulting in the image having more 'depth'.
