I am 65 years old and my feet are size 9.5 and extra wide. I have struggled for many years to find socks that do not leave massive imprints of being too tight across the top of my foot and on my ankles. They actually get sore when certain socks, especially the lower sports type are worn. Please see my photos. However, these socks fit perfectly fine. I can wear them for a full day and there might be a very faint line where the top of the sock fits to the lower calf. In some ways that it is inevitable, although it does not seem excessively tight. There is also a great deal of stretch in these socks. They are a little on the thin side, that can be good if needed. So, if you want a thicker sock, then look elsewhere. They also seem to wash fine at 30c, no plucking of the material and, so far, they have retained their shape well. I do not notice any seams when wearing the sock. Overall, I am very impressed, just ordered a second set. The yare great value for money, whilst fitting nicely over my extra wide feet and a larger calf area. Recommended I hope this has helped you.

Loose fitting socks

Bought a 2nd pack as my first impression was the socks looked good and had a nice feel to them. However after the initial wash of both sets in a mesh laundry bag I found that many of the socks tops were falling apart even before wearing. Disappointed and I am therefore unable to recommend. I have also found the support elastic is not as I expected, unsuitable for my swollen feet as they grip far too tightly leaving deep compression marks.

These are described as having a "loose fitting ... non elastic" which is not true. The socks themselves are a good fit and fairly comfortable. But the top IS elasticated, they are NOT loose fitting and they WILL leave a ring. These are not suitable for anyone looking specifically for socks that do not leave a ring, to help with circulation.

Soft and thin material but it does look solid to me, I have mild lymphedema/lipedema in my ankles and these socks work for me. They don’t have tight elastics.
