Gives my hair depth and gentle color
I have used about 5 bottles of Merlot keracolor, both when I had short hair and now when I have longer hair. I love this stuff! I do not get my hair colored, so I’m not using this as a refresher, but as a way to add depth and color to my dark brown/graying hair. I found my first gray hair when I was 17 and I’ve been graying ever since. Some days I like my grays, but other days they make me feel old (I’m only 37). Enter keracolor; this stuff smells great, is easy to apply (wear gloves because it does stain!) and lasts several hair washes. The bottle does state that this product is not recommended for gray hair, but I took a chance based on some of the reviews of women who have even more gray hair than me. I apply this color in sections, starting at the roots at the top and sides of my head (that’s where most of my gray is) and working my way down through small sections to my neck. You will want to saturate your hair (I apply on dry hair), don’t skimp. The directions say to leave on for 3-20mins, I leave it on for 1-2hours now. When I first started using this I’d leave it for 20-30mins then rinse out, but the color wasn’t depositing as much as I’d like. Then one day I got busy and didn’t get to rinse it out until about an hour and a half in and the color was beautiful, so now I leave it for 1+ hours every time. I am a 2 hair wash days a week girl so this color lasts on me for a while, but it will come off my gray roots, right at my scalp, pretty fast after the first shampoo, so I typically touch up my roots between my first and second shampoo post keracolor. Now that my hair is mid back I can usually only get 2-3 colors out of this bottle, but when my hair was shorter I could get 4-5. Make sure to massage the color into your hair and come through to the ends. Other reviews have said that this product dries their hair out, I have not had that problem, but I condition my ends to my mids every time which probably helps. For me, this product is so worth it, especially at its currently $13 price.

Natural Redhead with Virgin Hair Here....
TL;DR Easy to use. Didn't turn my virgin hair orange. Applied on wet natural red virgin hair for 8 minutes. Smell isn't bad. Hair left soft and conditioned. Achieved desired results. Reapply once a week (or as needed). Highly recommend! (updates at the bottom) I'm 43 years old and my hair is starting to darken out to an auburn I don't really care much for. People are starting to call my red hair brunette. Makes me sad I'm losing the vibrancy of my red!! After reading the reviews I was scared to try this. Many were way more orange than I wanted. Most are on already bleached/color treated hair. The application times and methods were all over the place. I wanted only subtle change and nothing drastic. I wanted to keep my red hair natural looking, but make the color pop again. I read through SO MANY of these reviews trying to decide if I should and how to execute this flawlessly. Lol APPLICATION METHOD I USED: I decided to stay on the safe side and apply it in the shower on wet hair for 8 minutes. If it wasn't enough I would up the time. I know it washes out but I didn't want to have to take 3 showers to tone it down and waste unnecessary product. I washed my hair with shampoo first to make sure my scalp and roots were clean and free of oils. Then used approximately 6 pumps total and worked it into my hair (like shampoo) again. Then ran a comb through it all from root to ends to ensure even distribution. After my 8 minute timer went off, I Rinsed with cool water and got out. I used a hair dryer to dry my hair. Curled it all then took the photo. ROOTS: I noticed many mentioned their roots not being touched and I'm not sure on those if they were all on people with color treated hair. I felt like I read one natural that felt the roots got neglected. There was no issues with my roots STAINING: I had no issues with staining. Applying in the shower I just worked it into my hair and didn't get it everywhere. Rinsed my hands immediately once I got it in there. SMELL I personally liked the smell. It's not very strong. I'm honestly surprised it even has been mentioned. CONDITIONING It left my hair feeling soft. It was nearly slipping out of my curling iron afterwards. COLOR I am happy with the color it has added. Very subtle, but I can tell. It did not completely cover my greys but I do think one wash with it toned them down. Is exactly what I was looking for. I might wait a couple washes and then leave it on wet hair for 10 minutes. Then update with a photo. MAINTAIN COLOR: I apply this about once a week and apply it more to my roots than the rest of my hair. Then comb out down through my wet hair with a large toothed comb so that it blends in, but doesn't continue to overdue the ends as much. EYEBROWS: I've applied this to my eyebrows so that they match better. Must do so carefully unless you want stains around your brows. ;) REMOVE COLOR: I accidentally discovered that Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo will take most all of the color out in one wash! I wanted to add this for anybody that would like to reverse the process after undesired results. I LOVE that this has and will revived my natural red hair!! Highly recommend to my fellow natural redhead sistas!! UPDATE: It's really hard to get the red to show up in pictures, but I wanted to update how things were going on this product. It is now April 3, 2024. After a few applications I received the shade I used to be. I use this once a week and only for about 5 minutes on wet hair. UPDATE: I have now been using this for over a year as needed to blend in at the roots to keep it looking vibrant and natural. In Sept 2024 I received a complement from a flight attendant telling me to never color my hair. Trust her that she used to be a hairdresser. So pleased she couldn't tell I touch up my natural red hair. Made my day. :) Last picture is today after a year use. Dec 28, 2024. UPDATE APRIL 13, 2026 Still using, still happy. I picked up another compliment from a hairdresser commenting how beautiful my hair is and to never color it. I have this on subscription, and already have three bottles on standby. However, I noticed it's nearly half off today, so ordering a couple more to save money in the long run. Because I never want to be without it. Hope they never discontinue this product, because that ALWAYS happens when I find something I absolutely love. If you are thinking about buying this, now is the time to give it a shot and save some money! ❤️💲💵💸

Solid product for a pink refresh
I dye my hair with semi permanent light pink. Pink is such a hard color to keep in my hair. This is a good product for refreshing your color between dye jobs. It also makes your hair soft, smells great, doesn’t stain clothes or fingers, and rinses clean. However, there is definitely a learning curve with it. If you use it in the shower on wet hair like it says on the bottle, you will have little to no pink pigment at all. If you place it on dry hair and let it sit for 10+ minutes and rinse with cold water, no shampooing or conditioner after, this will be your result. Wash and condition your hair first. It’s a very light pastel pink. Also should be noted that the color is pretty much gone after one wash with cold water and color safe shampoo. I would recommend using after every wash if you want pink to stay in your hair fully and not look dull and peachy. SO overall, solid product. Ideally, I’d like more color payoff and have it last a few washes. But, I appreciate that I don’t have to dye my hair between salon visits. I would recommend this product for sure. Just know what you’re getting with it. 🩷

Saved My Expensive Hair Color — Brought the Tone and Shine Back!
I am genuinely very impressed with this product. I recently spent around $500 getting my hair professionally colored, so I was pretty disappointed when I noticed the color beginning to fade only a few weeks later. After spending that much money on my hair, the last thing I wanted was to go back to the salon and spend even more just to refresh the color. I decided to try this Keracolor Color + Clenditioner, and I’m really glad I did. It basically saved my hair color. After using it, my color looked noticeably more refreshed and vibrant. The biggest difference for me was the tone. My hair looked much more even and closer to the color I originally wanted instead of having that washed-out, faded appearance that was starting to develop. It also gave my hair a beautiful shine. My color looked richer, fresher, and healthier afterward. Instead of looking like hair that had already started fading, it looked much closer to freshly colored hair again. What I especially like is that this isn’t just about making the hair darker or adding random color. In my experience, it helped bring the existing color back to life and made the overall tone look better. That’s exactly what I was hoping for. When you’ve spent hundreds of dollars at a salon, maintaining the color between appointments becomes really important. I didn’t want to keep paying for frequent salon touch-ups simply because my color was gradually washing out. This has been a great way for me to keep my hair looking refreshed between salon visits. The difference I noticed: * My fading color looked refreshed * The tone looked much better and more even * My hair looked noticeably shinier * The color appeared richer and more vibrant * Helped extend the look of my expensive salon color * My hair looked much less faded afterward Of course, everyone’s results will depend on their starting hair color and condition, but for my hair, the difference was absolutely noticeable. I spent around $500 on my hair only a few weeks before trying this, so I was very nervous watching that expensive color start to fade. Finding something that helped bring the color and tone back without immediately needing another salon appointment was a huge win for me. Definitely 5 stars from me. This is one of those hair products where I could actually see a difference. My color looks more toned, vibrant, and shiny, and I’m extremely happy with the result. If you’ve recently had your hair professionally colored and you’re trying to maintain that fresh salon look as the color begins to fade, this is absolutely worth trying.

Works Well for Color Refresh, But...
I did a lot of research plus asked advice to find the best color refresher for the semi-permanent hair color I switched to (after henna), taking into account my hair/scalp condition. The hair color product I had chosen was a disappointment as it washed out of grey hair in 2 weeks. My favorite color refresh shampoo & conditioner had been discontinued so I needed to find a new one. Keracolor to the rescue, and I followed their instruction that you reach the full color potential after 3 washes. Well, after just 1 there was a dramatic difference, so that's why 3 stars. But - - I hate the fragrance. A reason I dislike online shopping in general. You can read reviews for days, nothing replaces touch/feel/smell. Every purchase is hoping you researched enough. I didn't expect to dislike the scent so much. And it stays, plus gets on the pillowcases. Also, the water does run clear with rinsing. But with subsequent washes keeps coming out, stained my favorite hair towel. I put that through 2 Oxy soaks of 6 hours each, stains are permanent, something I would never have expected from a color refresh product. Since I invested in 2 colors for a custom blend, I will use this product. But in the future will have to look for another option.

Beautiful even on dark brown unbleached hair!
Okay, so I did days of reading on various coloring products and reviews and photos, etc., before deciding on this for my granddaughter's pretty dark brown hair. She had previously, about 8 weeks prior, had some of the ends bleached and colored red at the salon. It faded nearly instantly at the first shower and then with one swim it was essentially all gone and left a bit of a golden lighter brown color. It was costly, very costly. More color was purchased but it was a peroxide mix and after reading lots of reviews I realized for many people that faded, especially red, just as fast as other semi-permanent colors without the bleaching. As you can see her hair is pretty long. We used not quite half of the bottle I think, and smeared it throughout her hair from about the chin down, not putting any above that. Covered it with a light plastic cap, but used no heat of any kind. Let it sit 2 hrs then rinsed out with cool water. Probably only rinsed about 3 or 4 minutes. While it was wet you could see the red tint but after drying for the most part, you could really see the red, especially outside in the sunlight. She was very happy with this and I will update as time goes by, noting how long it lasts. I just ordered the cleanser/conditioner so we will use that once it arrives. For now we will not be using any shampoo and just rinsing the hair a few times a week in the shower and using the color+clenditioner as needed to maintain the color. Not sure how often that will be just yet. The color is phenomenal, though, and I'm surprised it took so well with her hair being dark. This smells really good and is so easy to use, not a drip anywhere. I didn't use gloves because I just can't do anything with gloves, and the color washed off my hands almost completely the first try. My cell camera doesn't really accurately portray the color red on anything so these are exactly accurate but mostly. It's very pretty. I would highly recommend this if you don't want to bleach your hair, and even if you do. The red tint this gives off even on the darker parts where it's not as pronounced is just beautiful, like a vivid deep auburn. We are really, really happy with this!

Excellent Color Enhancing Conditioner
My copper hair color is stunning for the first few weeks. Then a bit less so due to faded color. I saw this pruct being usef on YouTube. The influencer used permanently dye on her roots for her copper red touch up. She processed her roots and only combed through for a few minutes. Instead of damaging the length by constantly recoloring, she applied Keracolir to her midst and ends. It seamlessly blended with the roots, restoring the shiny copper color. She said using it weekly would keep copper hair vivid until the next coloring. I tried it myself and it really does what it claims. It does make an awful mess, so make sure you wipe up any spots before they stain. I never remember to bring gloves to the shower. My hands get stained orange, but it washes off with a good scrub. Where my grey is covered, my hair appears to have blonder and blonder highlights. The conditioner tints them, but will not completely cover white. Instead I get a lighter shade of blonde/red that looks like expensive highlights. A great feature is that the color can be adjusted by the amount of time you leave it on. A blonde can be strawberry blonde after one short application. To make your hair deeper a deeper color, just leave it on longer. A bottle will last you for months, saving you money on colir glaze treatments. It leaves my hair soft and easy to comb and feels a bit fuller.

DESERVES AN AWARD OMG MUST READ MY REVIEW!!
OMG WHY DID I NOT FIND THIS AMAZING STUFF SOONER?!? I have reddish brown hair in the sun it’s more red and gold than anything Nevada my mom was a flaming redhead and my dad had dark brown/blackish hair, mine was really red(orange) when u was a kid then it turned darker as I aged but my daughter is flaming redhead like my mom LOL, so I was looking for something like the henna I used to use to highlight my red highlights more vibrantly, and I wanted something like the new three in one shampoo dye my man uses on hood black hair that that’s graying now beautifully might add, but when he uses that shampoo dye it’s fabulous n so easy and smells great so I searched and couldn’t find my copper/ orange redheaded Color in that shampoo style 3 in 1 stuff but then this KERACOLOR COLOR+CLENDITIONER popped up and when I looked at the product and all the amazing color options I was so amazed and thought either it’ll be amazing or it’ll flop hard LOL and it canned next day it was only $13. And Something cents which is darn near half of the regular 22 bucks price, so I got it and y’all ready??? IT’S THE BEST DANG THING I’VE EVER USED OMG OMG OMG YOU HAVE TO BUY IT OMG MY MAN EVEN COMMENTED SEVERAL TIMES HOW GOOD MY HAIR SMELLS AND HOW SOFT IT IS Y’ALL look…YEEHAWW GIDDY UP! Y’ALL HE CARESSED MY HAIR LAST NIGHT WHILE WE CUDDLED AND HE GOT TURNED ON AND SO DID I AND IT WAS ON LOL!’ …OK LET’S PUMP THE BRAKES IN THE EXOTICA HERE HAHA FOR REALSIES Y’ALL BEST PRODUCT OF THE YEAR, a BIT BACK TO THE PRODUCT QUALITY LOL So I opened the package twisted the bottle top open took a sniffsies and was like ohhh okuurrr that’s nyce! Ima try it tonight bet!! IMPORTANT PART: you must start with clean dry hair imo that gets the dye to grab your hair shaft and soak in better! if your hair is oily at all the color with be repelled And wet hair already has something soaked into it and will dilute the color and it’ll be runny too, I say wash hair the day before let it air dry until the next evening “12 to 24 hours later “ but no more or oil will start to collect. Make sure it is bone dry too! SO I put my gloves on YES Y’ALL OUT THEN DANG GLOVES THE HECK ON OTHERWISE I’LL BE A REAL FAFO (fugg around & find out) SITUATION! you’ll definitely die your hands instantly if not! So I gloved up and started at my roots /top of my head which is always the hardest to dye due to that being the thicker healthier and newest hair growth with where the oil production is coming from, the ends are always the driest and easiest to color! Started at top and SOAKED THE SHIZZNIT OUT OF MY HAIR Y’ALL!! I used half the bottle on my hair and twisted my hair up into a bun And just held into the bun with my gloved hand and pulled the latex glove off my hand while keeping hold of it until the glove acted like a holder then twisted the glove flipped that inside out and that acted like a disposable hair tie lol! Threw the other seriously Orange dyed glove away and then used a new extra plastic produce baggie I got from the grocery store for things just like this, abs I used a baggie twisty tie to hold the bag snugly closed for the duration of my wait, btw I gave all those like twist ties for my BIG BADDY NANNA MCGYVER SHYIT THATI PULL OFF LOL!! I left the hair clenditioner coloring on like good 30-40 mins and rinsed with COLD WATER ONLY TO CLOSE HAIR SHAFT AND GRAB THE DYE BETTER! but,, IF YOU USE WARM OR HOT WATER IT’LL OPEN HAIR SHAFT AND YOU’LL LOSE THE DYE !!! I then waited until the water ran darn near clear then added a tablespoon of my fav biotin conditioner ONLY and ran a lager toothed hair comb the kind for thick azz curly wurly hair through and then after few mins I rinsed again in COLD water then towel dried gently and then let it air get the test of the night y’all!! DO NOT USE SHAMPOO AFTER USING THIS DYE AT LEAST NOT FOR TWO DAYS Y’ALL! After i took the towel off omg OMG MY HAIR SMELLED DIVINE AND I WAS HOOKED DANG IT!! when it dried it felt SOFTER THAN IT EVER HAS IN MY 47 treats of life!!! SO MUCH SO THAT MY MAN WAS EVEN BLOWN AWAY BY THE SCENT AND SOFTNESS AND THE REST OF THE EVENING I CANNOT SHARE IT WAS TO PASSIONATE AND EROTIC BUT I’LL LEAVE IT AT THAT HAHA…ANY PRODUCT THAT CAN ENHANCE OR INITIATE PASSION IN MY BOOK IS WORTHY OF AN AWARD!! I’ll be a customer FOR LIFE OF IT STAYS THE SAME QUALITY AND PRICE POINT IS FAIR!!! YOU’LL BE SO PLEASED Y’ALL wish you all HAPPY HAIR too!!

Satisfied
This product is small but it works. I bought it because I couldn't find the hair colour I buy in stock anywhere (Splat). I wanted to try the purple karacolour as that is or was rather my hair colour. But that colour was not in stock either. My hair was faded pink as the purple splat turns pink when it fades. So I figured blue and pink make purple. It is not the intense same shade of purple as it was afrer only two 3 minute uses. But is instead more of a pastel indigo, I am happy with it.

WAY BETTER than I expected
I had my hair done and it came out a lot more white than I would have liked... my own fault. Every day I was feeling more insecure about it looking like greys. I needed a quick fix before I had to run into work and this helped my hair go from white to a nice blonde. Big sigh of relief! I only had to use it 1 time! Very conditioning. I wanted to add pictures but Amazon is being finicky!!

Me encanta! Deja el cabello suavecito y mantiene el color, por lo tanto, ya no hay que usar tinte tan seguido, siento que es la mejor transición para el cabello canoso ya que no las cubre al 100%, si lo recomiendo!

Amazing!! Will be buying again!!
Hairstylist here!!! This product is AWESOME if you use it properly! I see people who posted nasty reviews saying "it doesn't work on natural blonde, don't buy!" that's because your hair won't pull colour into the cuticle if it's not pre-lightened! The product itself is actually awesome in quality and price point for what it is. Hence why salon professionals always lighten at least a little bit even if you are naturally blonde before putting colour on, otherwise you're staining your hair slightly and wasting product by letting it sit on your hair and rinsing it right off. And hence why it's recommended to use ANY colour product on PRE-LIGHTENED HAIR for the best results! In my experience, applying this to DRY hair works best about 30 minutes before I intend to shower, I apply it in three horizontal sections (nape, occipital area and top of head) with gloved hands and run it through before covering it with a plastic bag so it doesn't get everywhere when I do other stuff while my hair is processing. Once it's processed for 30 minutes rinse hair and shower like normal, except don't put any other products in the hair right after rinsing the colour, wait at least a day before washing with shampoo, so it really lasts!! Photos of my hair are after refreshes! (before and after my haircut, both just after a refresh) Overall 10/10 product!!! My hair looks like the perfect starfire/ Ramona flowers hot pink colour!!! For reference, this is on level 9 pre-lightened hair! Reviews saying it's bad are most likely having a user error rather than an issue with the product. If something doesn't work, don't immediately assume it's the product that's the problem and leave harsh reviews on something you didn't even bother learning how to use. Don't punish brands for your ignorance, google is free!!
