PETAC GEAR Tactical Drop-in Zipper Inserts for Built-in Vest Plate Bag Admin Pocket.

1. I bought this knowing full-well that it would be shorter than my admin pouch is wide (because I measured the opening). It's a great fit, even though I have about 1.75" on both sides thst it doesn't interact with. 2. Color matches the MultiCam pattern of my PC perfectly. 3. The rubberized zipper pulls are NICE. The zipper itself glides smoothly and silently. 4. Stitching is straight and solid. 5. Mounting was easy enough but the ONLY issue I have (which could be the carrier design itself) is that the Velcro engagement areas aren't "tall" enough. My admin pocket uses 1.5" wide tapes. This zipper uses much less and the pocket front sticks to the back, under the zipper. I had to run a panel under the mounting area to prevent that from happening. --My suggestion to PETAC is modify the Velcro to be 1" wider than what's currently employed. Outside the ending of my #5 comment, this is a nice addition to any PC and the price is reasonable.

Overall Review: Works as advertised. Zippers are nice, and had zero trouble installing at all. Stitching seems solid, and they were easy to use with gloves on, no problem. If you have a compatible vest then this is great and creates a zipped pocket to store things in safely. It’s made from rugged and durable material in keeping with the tactical field it's to be used in. The zipper runs smoothly and has nice some and easily gripped pull cords. Simple, effective and well made at a reasonable price - happy to recommend.

This tactical zipper insert features a dual zipper closure and can be attached to an existing opening in a tactical chest pocket brace. While fitting to my brace, I discovered the 6 inch dimension to be short and the Velcro attachment would engage only on one side as both sides of my chest brace was sewn with the ‘loop' side of the Velcro closure. While the size issue is not easily resolved it'd be nice if the zipper insert had a more flexible Velcro feature that could accommodate both the ‘hook and loop’ arrangement.
