If you like deep thumping bass, boy is this thing for you!Dance music sounds epic through this, as does reggae and pop. If that isn't your thing, no problem, Just go to the EQ in the app settings and tweak the sound to your liking or choose one of the many presets supplied. You will get something that suits your audio needs.Sound is detailed, smooth and full, I enjoy listening to this alot and find it handy in the office to stream radio shows to. I even used it as a sound bar for my TV by plugging in a cable from the TV headphone socket into the Aux in on the UBOOM and it straight away switched to that input and I had glorious deep sounds without any delay. No doubt you could also do this via bluetooth but my TV doesn't have that functionality.As with most EarFun products you get to control most things via the app including the lights on the front. You can specify colours, whether they stay on permanently or flash in time with the music. Select the black colour to switch them off completely. You can also set EQ, automatic shutdown time and upgrade firmware.This thing allows you to recharge your phone as well. via the Output USB socket behind the waterproof cover on the back. They do seem to have thought of everything. The item weighs in at 4.2kg and comes supplied with a detachable shoulder strap.Overall I am very impressed with this, the sound quality is good, it goes very loud, sound staging is quite wide, you can buy two and link them for a stereo pair (It can pair up to 50 units) the battery life is excellent at 30 hours and it took me 4 hours to fully charge it (It came partly charged). It is also very well made with no dodgy misaligned panels or connectors like you find on some of these things. Although it's primarily plastic, it feels premium, the metal grill on the front is very well finished and the weighty feel makes you feel like you've got your moneys worth.You can even use it to send and receive phone calls as it has a built in mic.If there is one thing I'd like to see it would be Siri or Alexa support through the built in mic. That would truly be the icing on the cake. It does play Siri results through the speaker but it uses the phones microphone to pick up your voice.The only other thing I'd like to see is more highly tuned but smooth tweeters as I do like to hear percussion instruments like Hi-Hat and tambourine. To hear these at a volume I like I've had to increase the 8k and 16k frequency EQ bands to their max and then reduce the 2k and 4k bands to -5 each to get a sound that wasn't too harsh. I'm just nit picking though for my personal tastes.Overall though I'm very pleased. Nice one Earfun. 10/10

Best sound. Earfun are brilliant at sound at affordable prices. Just bought the air4 buds ice blue today. The speaker design is not the best.. typical black harsh design with weak accessibility placement of buttons. Sound is top notch that audiophiles should appreciate. App is messy though but has many options to make sound stage to your desires.

I watched a few reviews online and I was a little unsure whether to get it, but I did. LolAnd boy, oh boy😳 it was amazing 👏 🤩Ok, it's heavy and I've tried to get the 4 lights to stay fully on when charged????I even returned on thinking 🤔 it to be faulty, I don't know 😕 🤔 this one as done the same and I've been to sleep all night with it on charge with a vdc20/3A charger as stated but only 3 lights stay on.Ok that's my moan out the way. 😆Hey, the bass/roundness and the crispiness ohh man.Sounds better than my car, and I've got a sub in there. 😆 🤣 😂Excellent little gym speak to connect my phone to in my garage.So, I've given the Pro and the Cons.Hope it's useful to whoever. If you use your own equaliser settings, you can't get a better and louder sounding speaker. Unbelievable at the price. I've had them all. Soudcores, JBL, Tribit and many more. Great speaker. At the price, you could buy 2 for the same price as the JBL speakers.

When you get over all the hype its not a bad speaker after all. Best at this price point.

Really happy with the speaker. Oluv has done an amazing job tweaking the sound to make it sound so good! The bass and clarity are really there even if you push the speaker to the limit. There are plenty of equalising options to choose from. I just use the ones from Oluv as they sound the best to me. Battery life is also very good. Would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone who prefers the quality of sound over the brad logo!

Bought this after sending an Anker Soundcore Boom 2 back due to a fault of vibration on speaker.WHAT A BLESSING. This speaker blows the Soundcore 2 away, both same price, ish,Do your research and read into this beast to understand what I say.I am not saying it is the best speaker ever made ever.. Dieser mobile Lautsprecher sucht in seiner Preisklasse einen Konkurrenten vergebens. Ich beschäftige mich viel mit HiFi und mobilen Lautsprechern. Es ist für besonders wichtig, dass sie grundsätzlich erstmal halbwegs neutral klingen und man je nach Gusto etwas Bass, Mitten oder Höhen draufpackt. Durch das Tuning von Oluv (Presets, die in der App gewählt werden können) ist das hier gelungen. Dazu kommt, dass die unterschiedlichen Presets optimiert sind für unterschiedliche Hörsituationen. Es gibt einen zwei Modi für innen (neutral und etwas mehr Bass), zwei Modi für außen (neutral und etwas mehr Bass) und sogar einen Ground-Modus. Dabei kann der Lautsprecher draußen auf den Boden gelegt werden und nach oben zeigen. Man hört dann im Umkreis weitgehend neutral.Ich habe mir zwei Earfun UBOOM X gekauft und lasse die im True-Wireless-Stereo-Modus laufen. Dabei übernimmt eine Box den linken und eine den rechten Kanal. Leider gibt es dabei mit der Standardfirmware hin und wieder Aussetzer, das der Chip überlastet wird. Oluv bietet auf seiner Patreon-Seite allerdings eine für TWS optimierte Firmware, die sauber läuft. Weiterer Vorteil ist, dass man knapp 6db Pegel dazu gewinnt. Das ist fast eine Lautstärkeverdopplung. Zusammen mit dem Tiefgang bis unterhalb von 40Hz klingt das insbesondere draußen wirklich gut und mächtig.Das Gerät lässt sich durch den Griff prima transportieren und bei mäßiger Lautstärke hält der große verbaute Akku ewig. 20h-30h sind kein Problem. Insgesamt auch absolut robustes Gerät.Was gibt es überhaupt noch zu verbessern? Mir fällt nicht viel ein. Wenn man hochwertigere Chassis verbaut hätte, würde gehörte Musik noch etwas direkte, frischer und zackiger klingen, denke ich. Allerdings habe ich das noch bei keinem Lautsprecher unter 250 Euro besser geboten bekommen.

Ne ho provati molti prima di arrivare a questo, un Boom2, un Motion Boom Plus, un Tribit Stormbox Blast, tutti i più quotati online in termini di rapporto qualità/prezzo. Poi, visto quanto se ne parlava sui vari forum e su YouaTube, per pura curiosità ho provato l'UboomX. Ero diffidente lo ammetto, ma mi sono dovuto ricredere. È una somma di tutti i migliori pregi degli speaker citati poc'anzi, racchiusi in un unico prodotto. Ha bassi potenti ma profondi e morbidi, raggiunge frequenze che non credevo uno speaker blutooth potesse raggiungere. Gli alti sono estremamente naturali ed equilibrati. Mastica qualsiasi genere musicale nel migliore dei modi. L'app è ben fatta ma non ha la lingua italiana. Ci sono moltissimi EQ applicabili ma sono uno peggio dell'altro. In una sezione a parte però dispone di quelli messi a punto da Oluv che sono i migliori in termini di equilibrio e vanno per step di volume. Se non bastasse è possibile impostare i propri per tirare fuori tutta la potenza di questa bestia, che farà letteralmente tremare la stanza. Gli EQ di Oluv sono equilibrati e puliti ma non raggiungono mai volumi altissimi in termini di suono. Se si vuole di più bisogna o alzare il volume al massimo o farsi il proprio EQ. Costruttivamente parlando non è inferiore agli altri, anche se dalle foto non si direbbe. Pecca purtroppo nel design che non è dei più originali ma quello che conta è il suono. Per essere uno speaker che usa solo codec sbc, ha un suono incredibilmente definito. È IP67, si carica tramite USB-C, ha una batteria di 30 ore circa e pesa poco. È davvero, senza ombra di dubbio, il migliore che ho provato fin'ora. Altamente consigliato, e da quanti ne ho provati capirete che non sono uno che si accontenta facilmente. Un plauso a Earfun per il lavoro svolto. Un prodotto eccellente.

I've owned several Bluetooth speakers over the years, but I'm genuinely blown away by the EarFun UBoom X! After researching options for a new outdoor speaker to use in my garden this season, I took a chance on this one and couldn't be happier with my decision.First off, the sound quality is exceptional - especially the bass response. Unlike many portable speakers that just give you that annoying mid-bass thump, this delivers actual deep bass that you can feel. I was playing some of my favorite playlists while doing spring cleanup in the garden last weekend, and even my neighbor asked what speaker I was using because he was impressed by how it sounded from across the fence!The battery life is as advertised - I've been using it for hours at a time over several days and still haven't needed to recharge. The build quality feels substantial and solid, it is not as premium say as a X600 (which I bought last year and I attached a comparison photo) but it sounds so much better with proper bass. It is a much bigger speaker and has some weight to it, but I believe that actually helps with the sound quality and stability.What really sets this speaker apart though are the EQ presets in the app. I've been using the Outdoor+ preset for the past few sunny days while prepping my garden for the season, and it's absolutely perfect - great bass punch with crystal clear vocals and just the right amount of treble to hear everything clearly across the yard. There are several other presets too (Indoor, Ground, Studio, etc.) that I'm still experimenting with, but each seems thoughtfully designed for different environments.The waterproofing gives me peace of mind for those inevitable Irish spring showers. I also appreciate that it can charge my phone in a pinch with the power bank feature, as I might bring it on some picnics later in the summer.If you're looking for a speaker to enhance your outdoor gatherings this spring and summer, look no further. The UBoom X has exceeded my expectations in every way. I'm already seeing if my wife allow me to buy a second one to pair in stereo for our bigger summer BBQs!

May 2025 edit: I have two of them paired in stereo mode and they're working wonderfully. Long battery life, incredible sound and volume. The bass is impeccable. Honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase(s). I've never had louder Bluetooth speakers and Oluv's settings still go hard.I'd been wanting a portable boombox speaker for about four months at this point (Oct. 11, 2024) and had looked into everything that was available on the market from that time including Soundcore, Tribit, and W-King brands. Can't tell you how many comparison videos I'd watched. It became overwhelming pretty quickly and I couldn't make up my mind. I spent hours looking (and listening).Then I discovered, through Reddit, that Earfun was developing a Boombox and it won a reddot award. Upon further investigation I found Oluv's Youtube and Patreon. Decided to check out what he'd been working on. He compared the uboom X with quite a number of products and the sound coming through seemed exceptional on my Philips Fidelio X2HR headphones. So... I received the product today, and downloaded the newest firmware from the app.This product is my entry into owning a BT boombox, so take that as you will. I also have a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 computer system and Soundcore Q45s. As far as quality goes, that's it.Oluv's presets work for a variety of circumstances. I find myself using the indoor and outdoor and their + version mainly. I haven't seen anyone measure decibels so I went ahead and did that... at max volume, 6ft directly in front of the system, I measured a consistent 88db on indoor preset. Peak at 90db. It seemed to reflect that across other modes, but for some reason on Boom xxX preset, it peaked at 110db.Anyway, I think that was software error, otherwise it seemed to average 90db at peak.I like the lights. Also, the Earfun presets (non-Oluv) are absolute garbage.Overall the sound is actually awesome, I'm enjoying it!
