Size up 1 for the waist
DO NOT PUT THESE IN THE DRYER! Honestly if you want them to last longer you should just hang them up to dry anyways but, if you must put them in the dryer do it on a low heat tumble.of 20 minute cycles. Definitely size up not sure they usually run true to size but I'm a 30 x 30 for a long time.. and these just don't fit .. not a fit acceptable and comfortable to work in atleast. Honestly you get free returns and or exchanges on Amazon so I'd say size up 1 for the waist and if it's not right you can return it ... But my experience and word of advice is to size up 1 for the waist length on is on point. Great pants though. Great solid brand. Great for construction and maintenance work .

Not exactly "tapered" but decent overall
As someone who wears work pants on a daily basis, I was excited to try out the Dickies Men's Slim Taper Stretch Twill Work Pant. Overall, I found them to be a solid choice with a few minor criticisms. First off, the stretch twill material is comfortable and allows for a great range of motion, which is essential when doing manual labor. The slim taper cut gives a modern look and is flattering on most body types. The pants also have plenty of pockets, including a cell phone pocket, which is a nice touch. However, there are a few drawbacks to these pants. For one, the sizing is a bit off. I found that the waist ran slightly smaller than other brands, and the length was longer than expected. Additionally, the material tends to attract lint and pet hair, so you'll need to keep a lint roller handy. Finally, while the pants are advertised as being "wrinkle resistant," I found that they did wrinkle a bit more than other work pants I've worn. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth noting. The Dickies Men's Slim Taper Stretch Twill Work Pant is a solid choice for anyone looking for a modern, comfortable work pant. Just be sure to order a size up and keep a lint roller handy

Dickies Work Pants? More Like Put Me To Work In The Club Sheer Tights.
What a disappointment. What happened to the Dickies quality? I know they have always been the more economical brand compared to Carhartt but this is not even close to the dickies I grew up with. I'm fine with the skinny straight being in style but these are almost purely skinny with little straightening out. In fact they look like baseball pants with the little bit taper along with how see through these are! If you want everyone to have a good look at what brand and style of undies your wearing or not wearing well then you are in luck! It's almost laughable that a thong or jock strap are probably your best options for wearing these without someone seeing through. The only problem then is when you stretch down and someone getting a look at the whale tail you'll inevitably be rocking. It's almost like the perceived comfort and softness is just code for cheap thin fabric with the double knees adding no additional support on-top of the fact that they are sown end to end so they dont allow for padding. Add to that with even sizing up 4x my normal work pant to compensate for the skinny style they still just stretch over and shape me like I'm wearing tights! Its almost like these are part of the same run of baseball pants everyone was complaining about being see through under the big lights but all you have to do is step outside if you want someone to know your business.

Don't size up!!
Love these pants! Been working kitchen for more than a decade, and these are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn in the kitchen. Plus they look amazing! On a size note I did like the rest wast saying about them being tiny. Maybe that's for folks with a gut or big thighs, I wear a 30×32 and ordered a 32×34 the length is perfect but the waist was huge!! I even pre soaked and boiled them to shrink them. If I didn't need them immediately I would've definitely returned. Now I ordered me another pair of these pants but in a 30x34 hopefully they'll fit much better than the pre mentioned oversized pair. Thanks alot for all the terrible reviews but I don't hold that against such a great company. I'd continue buying these! No questions there

Buy dress pants or buy work pants, these pants dont mix those looks in an effective way.
I've been looking far and wide for a good multi-use pair of pants, and while these might work for some, they were not for me. First, I heeded previous reviews and sized up a good bit, I can comfortable fit most 34" pants, and I ordered a 38". The waist was predictably big, but the legs were definitely still skinny, and would have been far too tight in my regular waist size. The material is definitely not stretchy like other pants with actual flex. However, having worn other characteristically stiff ripstop dickies pants for work, these probably qualify as "stretchy" for the brand. This kind of material shrinks tightly and permanently, not a great quality for very slim-fitting pants. Overall, the look is kind of strange, more like skinny chinos than real work pants, leading the cell phone pocket and double-fronting on the knees to look incongruous and performative. Maybe that look works for someone, not for me. The final kicker was the size of the belt loops. For whatever reason, they can't fit a belt much wider than a shoelace. Maybe they're supposed to fit so tight that you don't need a belt, in which case I would not want to wear them to a manual labor job site.

Not normally one to leave reviews but a mixed bag of comments on these so thought I'd leave something for us bigger guys. I'm a lorry driver 6'2 18 stone, 38 inch waist in most brands, solid built. Ordered these in a 40 waist, slightly big on the waist but room to move and also allow for shrinkage. These fit like a nice slim fit Jean not skinny at all, so I'm guessing the people complaining about them being skin tight are the ones buying them in 30 inch waist. I am up and down my cab and platform all day no problems. Look decent enough that I can take the steelies and hi vis off and go straight out when I clock off without looking like I'm still in my work gear. Standard dickies quality built to last.
